GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

damn - was about to post the same! 1min too late. :D
But same prices that posted eariler here

But based on how EU markets have approached the pricing here seems to be different than JPN.

edit.
Lottery prices and schedule introduced in JPN - almost double the price to standard car. that is steep..
Note - Ojie and Robin Perra edition - priceless
😂

March 21 (Thursday) - March 31 (Sunday)In-store application (GR Garage only)
April 18 (Thursday)Winning contact
After April 18th (Thursday)Business negotiation time
Manufacturer's suggested retail price

(Consumption tax included, unit: yen)

6MT
Ojie Edition8,450,000
Robin Perra Edition8,450,000
In addition, on March 28-31, 2024, the Evolutionary GR Yaris and Ogie Edition, Robin Pera Edition, GR YARIS Rally1 HYBRID at Tokyo Midtown Canopy Square We are planning to exhibit.

just checked - the special editions mk2 are priced more or less the same as GRMN Yaris MK1 was. so not deffo cheap!
Actually, would take GRMN variant if had to choose.
The GRMN version is more or less the "UR" version of that kalle / Ogie special edition, with mechanical diffs + better dash.

This means the engine is easily capable of the 300+hp. You'll lose warranty, but remapping is always an option.
As CO2 is the reason the EU version is less powerfull, Toyota won't do it for you.
Not CO2, it is particle (billions of soot particles covered in cancerous aromatic frankenstein part-burned compounds that go deep into the lugns) count regulation that requires an OPF/GPF to reduce the count. A car that is fun and tries not to damage my health unnecessarily is a win/win in my book...

Yes you can up the power a bit, but as we learned in other topics the valve springs won't allow for a larger delta then on the mk1 and also the new pistons can go bust quickly..

Just go pick it up! The engine will be run-in when you get back home! and a small boat trip offcourse...
would make also a good documentary, one lunatic driving his GR via badlands to western countries..
Would need maybe 200ltr fuel cell in the car just to be on the safe side + good tyres.

I'd need a co-driver and to stop off in Russia to pick up some weaponry

Group B Safari spec with external cage and roof mounted spare wheels.

The new RC is a bargain, its even got the poverty spec projector headlights. That would be my option if living in Japan. Manual, Vertical wand, fit some plated diffs and the optional cold weather pack and I would be set.

that with sticker lic would be a fun hobby recce car with proper suspension and protection.
I assume with the RC they are expecting you to fit aftermarket items
its no equip option as rally teams swap diffs anyway
