When you slam the boot, the rear spoiler's cross bar visibly wobbles

When I map I will also want the ecutek OBD software to see the knock values to evaluate whether to switch to the 95 octane map etc... because in the past I happened to find some 100 octane that was a bit "fake"

I would add photos from underneath the hood, does it come with a removable tray to direct water ingress towards the front of the engine?

I’m not sure where I’ve misled? I’ve been very clear from the start that I believe I have sped up a process but I think it’s naive to think that there isn’t a weakness with the engine considering failures all on paper seem to be quite similar.

I’m not looking for sympathy or comfort (my new engine is currently in build) but I stand by what I said ref the other poster that responding the way they did is probably one of the reasons people don’t post their failures (resale I suspect another reason). The more recorded failures the more we understand and can learn from the mistakes of others.

Thought it worth an update.

My engine blew up.

Cruising along a dual carriageway approaching a motorway junction, car in front doing 60mph me matching their speed and when he pulled over I started accelerating 3-4,000rpm and it wouldn’t go past that. Ease off just try again and same and realise what’s going on.

However I’m over a flyover nowhere safe to stop so I kept the engine running and bang lots of white smoke a load of metal down the road and I found somewhere in not the safest spot and get recovered.

Engine has a hole in it identical to failures you’ll find over the internet including the Piras video, that a year ago I felt was BS. It’s also damaged the starter motor and transfer box.

The car got dropped off at the tuners and a new engine is going in along with a closed deck and forging to try and stop anything like that happening again, speaking to a friend at the weekend and their friends Gen1 is also at the same tuners getting a new engine for the same issue.

I realise this topic has been discussed on here, but this video really did prick my ears up when it comes to considering why these failures might happen.

Today I've noticed a new interesting rattle... when I tap right hand side of my boot i get rattle from exhaust heatshield area. Checked underneath the car, its not loose or anything just rattly.
