It’s actually quieter than I thought it would be based on what I’d read and the stories of people returning them in the US. Around town, I would describe it as rowdy, obviously sounds louder when you stomp the throttle. No idea about track day but when I get time, I’ll see if I can get a decibel meter going.

Something to consider, I recently got the NA tune from tuning developments which comes with a UEL catless manifold (but keeps the GPF) and now it is really quite loud on anything more than a tickle of throttle. If you plan on doing manifolds down the line and want to be allowed on track days, maybe go for something that's quieter initially.

The track version isn’t as loud as you think. I’d be interested in hearing the touring version one day but am happy with the track. I use the car as a 2nd car/toy so love the sound level when I’m out but it would annoy me if it was my daily.

I also made a youtube video recently, although it's a bit more janky than yours.

I recently had Tuning developments package installed which consists of manifold / headers - i went for UEL, overpipe, a drop in K&N filter, and a tune.

The video compares my car stock, but with AWE touring with it after the above tuning package. There are timestamps in the description for what each section is, as I jump around a bit, starting with cold starts.

It's only recorded off my phone and i only fpund out after doing the editing that the crappy free software i was using to edit only renders up to 720p.

If you want to hear it properly you need speakers with some bass as the UEL makes the sound very deep.

The best on boards are around 6:10 :)

I kept checking in on Zoo. I even looked at your vendor page. But the promised audio/video never arrived. And now the forum offer has expired. Never mind, more money to spend on mountain bike bits :D
 
I just noticed tuning developments have produced an axle-back exhaust with some small silencers built in, that also retains the oem mid-pipe.

This looks like it could be a great option to add a bit of character without annoying the neighbours every time the car is started.

Anyone on here got one? Would love to know what it sounds like.

Yeah, this sounds way too much for me! The touring by itself is very similar to the track version. Did you get any dyno gains from that setup? btw, dont worry about the video, its the sound that's the main thing not the visuals!
 
Are there any more thoughts on exhausts now those who've had them fitted have done a few more miles? I'm interested in one that sounds good without -being overly loud. A Cobra one is probably favourite at the moment.

15 months with the CTEC system and I still love it. I appreciate it more now actually, it's the perfect balance for a daily driven car. Noise when you want it, subdued on those gentle cruises down the motorway, no raspy sounds or drone and it doesn't sound numb, plenty of character.

Also have the CTEC system recently installed and very pleased with the noise but not too much noise, also thought the quality was of high standard.

Thanks, the CTEC one does get good reviews on here, however I've not heard it other than one clip on a driveway!

@ctecperformance please could you post the audio clips you mentioned a few months ago?

I do have a few videos but the owner has requested that I don't post with his VRM displayed. My limited editing skills don't extend to deleting a number plate from a moving vehicle. I will definitely get something sorted so that we can provide video/audio on here. I do appreciate your continued interest in our system and I will sort this at the next available opportunity.

Thanks, I'll have a look - there was one a few days ago but by the time I'd looked up the postcode of the seller to see where to collect it from it had sold!
