I'd reconsider wasting the 10yr warranty, I know it's not the cheapest to have it, but remember you're driving a Subaru, not a Toyota and from own experience on the GT86 this wasn't as reliable as Toyota is claimed to be. I had to claim warranty repair 3 times on my 3yr old GT86, until the warranty run out. First it was the motors scraping both windows when lowering them, then a worn bushing on a control arm and finally a noisy clutch pedal. Finally a motor failed on one of the folding mirrors, but that was past warranty by a couple of months (5yr long warranty on that car).
But people used to claim on many more - water getting inside the rear lights, chirping fuel pump, delaminating reverse mirror

Not to mention the huge engine recall which many avoided like fire, because the repair was worse than the issue (it was preventative recall, so nobody wanted to take the engine in if the valve spring didn't break, as they needed to take the engine in half and then put together with... RTV sealant

).
And think of resale, I think a warrantied car will look tastier than "specialist serviced one" to an untrained eye.
