GR Yaris 👎 Negatives - what annoys, disappoints, puzzles and generally irks you about the GR Yaris?

That’s a good shout. I’ll see if it’s big enough, it should be. I can then fabricoddle something up to get the slot to hold it in place.
And in today’s “oh, that’s mildly interesting” news, it’s appears that my car at least doesn’t have this slot.

I assume it’s meant to be here somewhere. I though it was odd as I’d had a root about down there and not found any place suitable, but @Pappyjohn’s post made me think I must’ve missed it

No idea whether this is a recent change for all cars, or just a Europe-spec change.

  1. The steering wheels is a tad too thin and could do with some extra padding.
  2. The lane keep assist is f8cking dangerous.
  3. The collision warning thing that beeps out the blue and gives me a heart attack.
  4. The number of rattles and vibration noises.
  5. Tyre roar on poor surfaces.
  6. Infotainment system is pants.
  7. I daren't park it anywhere.
  8. The height of the passenger seat is comical
  9. Sound system is awful
  10. Horn is an embarrassment
  11. There is nowhere to put any 'stuff'
  12. No wireless Apple Car Paly/Android Auto
  13. No reversing sensors
  14. Boot opening latch is fiddly
  15. 12V flap in the centre console looks like it's off a Russian tank
  16. Headlights are poor
  17. Number of buttons on the steering wheel
  18. Number of pointless options on the binnacle screen
  19. No seat mechanism for letting people/putting things in the back seat meaning you have to balls up your seating position
  20. Standard OEM wipers are garbage
  21. No rear wiper
  22. Petrol gauge doesn't come until it's down to fumes

One to add...

Unless I've not spotted how, I don't seem to be able to easily switch between fuel consumption for long term/trip/current on the display as I'm going along.

Sure it's buried in a submenu somewhere.

I don't think you can but you can set the display to either show long term OR the trip but going into the options within the display.

Oooh is there now :)
Yeah just make them get out passenger side, there's the foot pedal thing to release the seat from the rear that's been a Toyota thing since I was a teenager in my mum's mk1 Rav4, and probably longer!
The bosch wipers are sub £20 5 minute fix.

This made me laugh!

I've asked the better dealer near me for a quote to retrofit parking sensors to mine.

Wipers blades and those carbon guards are two of the best and cheapest mods for this car.

That square cutout in between rear seat passengers is annoying as hell. Put some cupholders there dammit!

I won't be risking it 😁

I've got another one

23. The stereo maintains the volume level from previous use so if you've had it blasting when you turned the car off its blasting when you turn the car back on 😂

Can you tell I'm used to German cars 😁

In this dry weather I get shocks touching the bodywork, even after just jumping in for a second to grab my sunglasses or something.

Thank goodness for frameless doors

Oh thank god I'm not the only one. Every time I get out of the Megane I get a static shock

Honestly, plumb me into the national grid and I'll go round getting free electricity from touching random cars all day long

  • Haha
Reactions: Nixkf
Yep, need to clean mine as it's gone almost orange / rusty shitty brown on some of the plastic, more so the guttering & by the bonnet latch.
on the plus side the more dust that enteres also means the more cooling air is also flowing across engine
