GR Yaris ๐Ÿ‘Ž Negatives - what annoys, disappoints, puzzles and generally irks you about the GR Yaris?

Well, one thing that wonโ€™t be contributing to my advancing hearing loss tomorrow is the fake engine sound โ€˜cos I turned it off via Carista.

Letโ€™s see if I prefer it.

Iโ€™ve left the ANC enabled for now (car has mics in the headlining so I assume it does have it - was that ever confirmed for non-JBL cars?)

I thought the GRY is a city car. ๐Ÿค”
It is the most none city car I have ever had. It is made for open enjoyable roads. That wide back end and wide opening doors make it a no - no for car parks and narrow busy roads. Yes it is a small car but not in the city streets driving in second or third.

It's a brilliant city car for me. Love mine, even when pootling around pot-holed city roads.

Good driving position, deals with the bumps fine, good turning circle, dead easy to park (with sensors and camera), good stereo, and of course if you need to get away from a junction or lights quickly, then it's perfect.

This. I live in central Edinburgh, and while clearly it is at its considerable best on open roads down towards the Borders, it is great around town too. MUCH more usable than the RS Clio it replaced.

God speed driving in central Edinburgh ๐Ÿ˜‚ driving around there for work is the Bain of my week!

Just done the same after fitting an exhaust as it was bordering on oppressive. Iโ€™m actually having the exhaust reworked a bit to reduce cabin noise. Trying to get decent noise on full out accelerations where at the moment any throttle application is creating excessive cabin boom ๐Ÿ˜–

The GR is surprisingly wide, IMHO.
Also surprisingly narrow when you look at other modern cars , I think it feels wider as your more inboard due to the wide arches.

The cost a replacement wheel make it feel wide as well ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜…

Donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve ever been so careful about parallel parking before the Yaris. ๐Ÿ˜…

This is a negative as I donโ€™t feel super confident using the entire road on a corner just in case I clip a wheel

I could really do with parking sensors.
You can only set 6 DAB favourite stations; if I'm doing something wrong please let me know.

As I have only had the one test drive (and didn't try much parking) I'm interested to see how wide it feels day to day.

I mostly drive a MAN TGE 3.140 van for work during the week (basically a VW crafter) so the rear visibility doesn't bother me and the van is 2427mm wide (so about 40cm wider than the Yaris) but I don't think I'll be driving them in the same way ๐Ÿ˜‚

My partners / shared car is an X3 which is 2138mm wide so only about 13m wider than the Yaris, and this gets driven all over rural Scotland so hopefully I won't feel the width too badly.

I do wonder why parking sensors were not fitted, I hardly use the camera in the X3 I just use the mirrors and wait for the beeps so I'll need to be extra careful!

Pairing TPMS. Honestly, two different tyre fitters and two trips to Toyota Iโ€™m still struggling to get even the original TPMS to pair. I can live without the TPMS, and check pressures regularly the old way, if I didnโ€™t have the damn warning light the whole time.
