Having joined the mk1 waiting list 09-01-22, I got the mk1 waiting list version of today's email.

Does anyone have any sense of how many existing owners and those on mk1 waiting list will have got emails today? Just thinking about potentially how many people will be in the ballot for possibly only a few hundred cars?

I imagine the ballot will easily be 7-10x over subscribed.

There’s 4-5,000 cars in the UK but I suspect no more than 3/4’s of them have been owned for the last year. The waitlist was around 10,000 from memory with the first 1,000 having a numbered email when it closed but it’s been a couple of years.
 
Did anybody notice that the exhaust tips on the new car appear to be slightly further apart from one another than on the older mk1?

I was hoping to transfer my HKS Hi-Power SPEC-L II to my new car when it arrives, now it looks like I will need to cut the tailpipes and weld in extensions to space them further apart, or sell the exhaust and wait for new ones to be produced... not cool. Hopefully my eventuri intake will be a straight swap...

There's also the consideration that those on the waitlist were offered the chance of leaving the list. I got my, do you want to leave email Oct-23.

Not sure what the criteria for being on the current owners list is, whether it's only first owners or also subsequent owners if owned => 1yr. I meet that criteria having been second owner from 13-01-23 but I joined the waiting list 09-01-22 🤷

Agree. France same issues, dishonest politicians, bribery, favoritism, incompetency... Our economy is down the drain as well. 3 000 billion debt ! It seems as if they had no idea of the enormity of the amount and proportion it represents compared to real value wealth.
To earn your first million Euros, you have to save 1 € each & every second during 11.57 days.
To earn your first billion, you have to save 1€ each & every second during 31.71 years !
To re-imburse those 3000 billion, it would have taken someone back 95 129.4 years ago to start saving 1€ each and every second and pass it all on to his descendants without any gap in the process !
That throws us back to late Stone Age amongst Glaciation periods where the blokes were spending most of there time huddling together half-dressed in fur just trying to survive with there stone tools and weapons... 🤔

I had the email earlier, I’ve had mine three years next month. Unsure if I’d take a new one, couldn’t till October as I’ve the final payment tied up till then anyway
Quite fancy being payment free, even if it’s just till next years allocation
If I was to go for one it would be a grey manual
I’m assuming about 18k to change

Still unclear, I've seen different CO2 numbers claimed.
If someone can confirm the official CO2 numbers here, we can easily calculate the taxes. But it's somwhere 2700-3200€ tax to get it on the road, and +- 300€/yearly.
