I am not buying one as I love mine and have just bought a Yaris cross as daily but am pleased they are giving the current owners the first chance. Not good for the first time buyers as they now need to get onto the GRY ladder and buy a MK1. I believe the MK1 is the real bargain now the price has risen to £45k with silly road tax. Initial disappointment at missing out on the MK2 but they can get a MK1 and love it and mod it till MK3 comes out.
 
Additional small print - Model shown is MY24 New GR Yaris Manual £44,890 including optional metallic paint at £640. Prices correct at time of being published. which confirms price for grey.

Pricing including extras was confirmed last week.

I had the email saying I couldn't have one. Didn't realise there was a separate wait list. Not that I'm interested anyway. More than happy withy the GR86. This is like how Porsche does things...

Just happens when you have a non-automated production line with very limited capacity. It's unusual to have it on a Yaris, but they simply can't make hundreds every day.

I’m more than likely to be given the opportunity to buy one as I own a gr Yaris plus have been on the waiting list since 2021, perhaps you can take my place?
 
I too received the email. I have had mine since Dec 2020, and love it - mine landed in the UK in October 2020, in the first batch, along with all demo cars (I think), but was held up due to COVID lockdown. Collected it a few days before Christmas.

Do we know how many are in the 2024 batch?

I'm very keen to get a Mk2 but unfortunately don't qualify for the ballot, should you be prepared to enter the ballot, and be successful, I'm sure we could come to some mutually beneficial arrangement (y)
 
Another one with the email, contemplating trying to get an auto then parking the Mk1 up with my Mk1 XR2 as pension top ups. Only fly in the ointment is the 50% price rise.

Actually from this document it's still not quite clear whether in the UK there will be any optional to be added or if they are already included in the basic price.
The optionals I saw so far around Europe are the JBL sound system, forged wheels, and the tech pack (with some ADAS added), and I can't see any of them mentioned among the standard UK specs.
When will they clarify this (potentially pricey) aspect?
 
Got the memo from Toyota today and have to say it's pretty tempting, as far as lotteries go.

For Sweden it's one package only and it's Premium. It contains everything.
Only options here are gearbox and paint
 
Am I the only one annoyed that most countries (mine included) aren't getting red-stitching + seatbelts option? I don't have confirmation if it's really impossible to order as such, but there are no mentions anywhere.
