GR Yaris GR Yaris (Mk1&MK2) Valuation

Auto transmission bumps co2 from 190 to 210g/km. Really big difference. Makes to wonder if it has more power than manual.

Someone shit in the brains of these blood-sucking bastards. Sorry, but there's no other way to say it.

50k for the Car, and 50k for the Tax. F... off

So you’d be a total nutter to buy the auto in France. But also a nutter to consider one anyway, unless you had a serious amount of money.

People here in Sweden complain about taxes, we have 25% vat and about 3k € malus tax - because it's cheaper in Germany. But Finland, Norway and Denmark are a lot worse (in that order). Denmark has since long been like France for the GRY now but for ALL cars, Singapore tops France since long.
I know why I consider myself lucky, live in a major city but almost never sit in a traffic jam and can find empty roads just 15min drive away... More or less have it all.

France is basically forcing it's car industry to change focus. Can be debated if it's right or wrong, proof will be in the pudding in a good 10 years.

It's funny to think that my French car, the 172 Cup, which cost £12,995 brand new would today have a 60,000 EUR tax levied on it. They're a funny lot the French, always rioting and protesting, but they routinely accept more shit from their government than anyone on Earth. Save for maybe the Russians.

A rarity - a black unregistered Circuit Pack below list from SLM Toyota.

As its no longer listed guess its gone. Damb wish I'd seen this earlier. 🤦‍♂️
I have a search setup on autotrader too..
What price was it out of curiosity?

I debated that car all weekend, the advert went down yesterday so guess it’s sold.
Guess so, I would have had that if I'd seen it earlier. 🤦‍♂️
How much was it and which SLM Toyota if you can remember?
Kicking myself for missing this 🙆‍♂️

£35995 but not sure which SLM tbh. It

It was a good deal tbf, half kicking myself for not going for it either. Hopefully I’ll get an allocation for new one. 🤞

Insomnia so time to ponder car stuff. With more robust internals maybe mk2 would be a smart move - but really difficult to argument likely 20-25k price difference. After all, with that money you can likely rebuild engine fully and then have solid 400hp GR. So, after all, it still comes down to looks..

I was pondering why you were talking about insomnia for a second, then I realised that it was 1:24am and I'm still mucking around on a computer, and also, you know, you're in Finland.

My thought process on the GR. For the price, if I need to rebuild the engine, I'll just get the MK2 components popped in. Price to improvement ratio looks not great, especially with finance cost being much higher. I'm not taken with the looks, and actually... I've gone off the back end as well now. The only bit visually I like is actually the real diffuser, and the badge delete and reorganisation. I don't like the third brake light reposition, I don't like the full width rear light bar thing, and I don't like the fog and reverse light in the higher position... as they are visible at certain angles despite efforts to hide them. That whole lighting area looks very busy, and a bit of a cluttered mess. Also wtf is the point of a third brake light that's not at the elevated position?
