This is rougly 10k€ more then at launch, so £33k circuit pack (but now forged are option) ends up around £40k

You're forgetting another crazy factor here. There are people who find the whole thing even more “special” when something is totally overpricedFrance adds rougly 32000€ in taxes when you enroll it, limited to 300? Lucky if they sell three!

I have absolutely no idea how the French tax new vehicle prices (aside from a crazy annual tax for CO2). How many euros was the original car priced at in France? Is it about €10k more?

I build handmade hunting rifles. I once had a customer who wanted his rifle to cost more than his business partner's rifle. Just to make it more expensive... Now he's taken a crazy expensive piece of wood (for the rifle stock) even though the cheaper one was nicer. You don't have to understand it, right?

If reading correctly the bbs forged rims are now MUCH cheaper, almost 2k per wheel less? Or then they just discount them when buying a new car and its 5000€ each for replacement from service desk. Luckily you get a piece of chockolate with each visit.
