Why would Toyota make a Mk2 GRY? Not sure it makes any sense at all. Plenty of more profitable cars to make and GR marketing job done.

Sure the demand is there, but why bother if it’s (allegedly) not making Toyota any money?
So why slow current production down to a crawl just as they’re about to hit their original target of cars?

Awesome news! So nearly exactly 24 month. That would be early end Sept. / early Oct. For me.great newsit seems there are still a few Toyota ninjas assembling GRYs somewhere in a corner of the Motomachi factory. My dealer called and gave me a VIN.
The car is on the way. VIN: 23678 ETA in Germany: August 4.

You ordered couple weeks after me yet I still have no information whatsoever from my dealer
I swear this is all a patience test designed by Toyota to test some of us. I won't be surprised if I turn out to be the last person to receive their GRY in Germany. Does anyone have a pre-June GRY order in Germany still waiting without any info?

I got an email from Toyota a few days ago that my order is being processed, which was the status for the last two years anyway. Did everyone got an email because they updated their system or did they finally remember my order?

I also got that e-mail for my Sweden December-22 order this week, so maybe they are building LHD-Euro cars right now. I couldn't see the map in the MYT app before, is that the same for you?

I don't have a VIN yet but when I ordered the GRY I got an email from Toyota that my dealer has registered my email address and that I should activate my account. After that I could always see my order in the MyT App and on toyota.de

I can almost guarantee you are going to get the last GR Yaris deliveredWierd, never got that.
You have to ask for it, I think. At least I did.Wierd, never got that.
Btw just checked the website and the developer tools again, apparently they changed their backend a bit. Under order details there is now a new line that reads:
When I hover over "stopped" it reads:
So my order details are apparently not stopped. Whatever that means! What do you see in yours?

I just got an email that they're starting to build my GRY!!! I nearly screamed in the office
