GR Yaris Collins re-map

What's the score with ECU flashes when having main dealer servicing ?
We have have cars running the maps that have had full Toyota Diagnostics done on them - they have not been able to detect/see the software - If it get overwritten due to any updates we can reinstall the software again for the customer

Over the net or does it need a visit??

If you can offer a re-map day or get me booked in as I am closer to Lille in France than you๐Ÿ˜„ like to kill 2 birds one stone๐Ÿคฃ

for a ecu remap ,its mandatory to bring the car to your workshop? I'm from Spain, and coming to your workshop is a very long and expensive trip.

How many people here have the Mongoose exhaust? Feedback is positive but I donโ€™t want any drone in the cabin and I did read of one or 2 people complaining of that. Hard to know who to believe. Is the actual quality ok and welds presentable? Missed the black Friday deals as did not have my GR at that point!

I have the enhanced performance track friendly, and itโ€™s bang on๐Ÿ‘Œ
Just more audible than std. ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’จ

I have it, I like it, quality is good value, it is a little droney for motorway cruising but my car isn't a daily. If I was dailying, and I go south west to midlands regularly, I'd probably go with an HKS option or do more research into whifbitz.
On the remap point, I'll get another year or so out of my dtuk2 then most likely choose collins.

Hi - There is no mail order option at the moment sorry - you could always send you ECU via courier to us and we would return it back to you once the software was installed?

Hi... When you say the map is for a standard car and/or a modified car, is this true?

My car has some Mods... Eventuri, airtec cooler, mongoose exhaust.... So surely a map file for mine say, would be very different to a Standard car?

Thanks for any info. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Yes that would be stage 2 Phil

Are there any price differences between 1 and 2 Steve? What sort of bhp increase should be expected from say a Stage 1 with no mods?

have to imagine as with any ICE if you're gonna change the performance side of its map you'd want to give the new tuning something to work with and make it worthwhile like removing flow restrictions like CAT or particle filter intake etc, otherwise the tuning is waisted as performance gain will be minimal

I understand but a new exhaust is circa ยฃ1k and an intake is ยฃ300+

The map is 399 (group buy?) and gives 3x the power of the above 2 whilst keeping the car OEM.

I donโ€™t agree with this. A remap is the single biggest power and torque gain of any modification and costs the least. What other modification sees peak power increase by around 15%?

Certainly not an exhaust and/or intake. Even the most expensive intakes only liberate around 10 bhp.

And a fair few owners donโ€™t like the idea of removing the CAT/OPF. Apart from being completely illegal and rendering your insurance invalid, itโ€™s a douchey thing to do. Itโ€™s not about the environment, itโ€™s about not spewing out particulates that exacerbate lung problems, for almost no gain.

The map has been optimised to work with full hardware โ€“ once the development process was complete, we then started the process of retesting the car with the various bits of hardware removed to ensure there was no issues by adding the map to a 100% standard car or partly converted car carefully checking it at each stage to make sure the fuelling/boost etc are all correct

I've now spent over a week with this map and it's fantastic! It's like all gears have moved down by one, i.e. 4th pulls like 3rd used to. I don't need to change down on dual-carriageways to get going, just squeeze the throttle and it pulls in any gear. It defo pulls more down low but something happens around 5k RPM and it all just goes ballistic and throws you down the road all the way to red line! Feels like an extra turbo or VTEC or something!? ๐Ÿ˜‚ I dunno but it's ace (might this mean there's more tuning to be done below 5k?!)

The car was never slow but could feel a bit lacking, e.g. overtakes but maybe I was spoiled by my previous cars. It's never really made me go 'f**k me!'..... but it certainly does now! It is proper rapid. There are no downsides (except the obvious - warranty potential) as the car easily handles the extra power.

Love it.

My only negative was I actually expected more! (greedy sod I know). I previously had a 500HP Alfa and a 400HP Evo and they really stuck you to the seat when boost kicked in, that doesn't happen so much with this. Well, maybe it does when all goes mental around 5k (I haven't drove it for a few days) but you're too distracted by that point.. ๐Ÿ˜
