It’s a great number but I’m sure we will get more onboard when cars actually arrive. 👍

With it looking like there will only be 400 cars plus demo/press cars in the U.K. how desirable will the GR86 be to car thieves? With such a low number , and nearly 50% of owners on here, a good half of the cars will be ”Well Known” and I wouldn’t imagine they will be easy to move on here ...

Does seem to be a lot quieter on the phone call front this week, come on Toyota (and Subaru) pull your finger out!
 
I think they have stopped making calls as they have called everyone who's getting a car in the first batch, whether they will start the calls again when more order slots are available I'm not sure as they probably won't want the awkward conversations about not getting a car until sometime in 2023? I suspect they will just update us online from now, I've certainly stopped waiting for a phone call that's possibly months away or not coming at all.
The way that Toyota have handled this upto now has been awful & if this is how they want to do business in the future they seriously need to up there game.
For me the experience of buying a new car has been spoiled so for my sanity I'm just going to forget about the car for now, & just check myT every now & again & wait for the demo to arrive at my nominated dealer.

When I called to ask a few Q’s about my order I was told all would be discussed when I get my call, within next 6 weeks. Not sure if that means we’ll all have slots allocated within 6 weeks or we’ll get a call as our finance deals will be coming to an end and they’ll explain next steps?

Personally I would rather they give a best estimate even if it’s 2023 delivery, it’s an ETA after all and no one would hold them to it given current climate.

I would rather have a rough idea, even if it was the end of 2023.

I've just checked the finance T&C's on the Purchased page on my Toyota account, as well as the finance having to be arranged before 30th June, the car must be registered before 31/12/2022. So not sure what that'll mean for some of us later orders! Hopefully they'll honour it, but what knows.

I think they’ll have to give us an update before 30th June. Even if it’s just a guarantee that they’ll honour the deal.
 
Hello all! Order confirmed at 10:14 UK, Devon. MT, Red. No phone call, just the order has been sent to the factory. No delivery date, that I know off/not sure how to find out

Edit, have a ORCA code, which means….?!

⚠️So I have news⚠️ I woke up to an email from Toyota confirming my order was processing and they will be in touch in due course and that my request to change colour from Electric Blue to Ignition Red had been made👍

Electric Blue was always the CEOs first choice (and still is) but I had nagging doubts over would I still love it in 10 years time 🤔 As the GR86 is a bit of a nostalgia trip for me (albeit with an automatic transmission) hopefully taking me back to the fun of my Rio Red Honda CRX I bought in 1989, the last car I could use 100% of what was on offer every time I took it out. I decided Ignition Red was a colour I’d be happy with longterm, having had several red cars before and had always been my “go to” colour choice.

A bit of work for @beorg and it should shift the numbers a bit for 6AT.

PS the photo is not my car , but exactly same colour and model 😎

I remember your order is around 104x am? Good news to you mate!! But mine still haven’t received any updates which is 1037am order. I am getting more disappointed now.😩
 
So am I the only person who managed to get an email staying my estimated delivery slot is: [BLANK] ? I feel so special :LOL:

Fantastic, I always really liked the Honda CRX. Never owned one. One of those "ones that got away" cars for me.
 
10:14 order for me an no info, just 'processing' - I have to keep reminding myself how lucky I am to be getting one however, rather than being irritated that from 09:50 I was refreshing screens to only find at 10:10 that the GR86 build link was only there if you 'hover' over the new car drop down NOT click on it (or the GR86 page!). (That and having the 'deposit' down at a dealer for several months) - but it'll all be worth it in the end :)
