If you have a confirmed order please vote in the Poll for your colour choice and post a comment with colour and transmission choice , 6MT or 6AT and I will add you to the order list below.

Another dealership just offered me their "showroom allocation" that is being sent early and was intended for them to display in their showroom but they didn't see the point in having such a low volume-instantly-sold-out car on display. We configured the options and extras, sent the order to Toyota and I've wired them the deposit now. Neptune Blue, 6MT, Premium.

No turning back now.

By their own admission they were slacking off on specifying their showroom car (that particular dealership is huge in selling SUVs and family econoboxes so I guess the GR wasn't exactly their top priority) and the deadline was like tomorrow. They only had a "raw" form to submit to Toyota, something along the lines of "every extra available and X color", since it's not even available through their standard ordering system at the moment. So I told him to do just that - tick every box (I wonder if I'll get some unneccessary bs like cargo nets and whatnot lol) and select the "Bright Blue".

As an added bonus, they have a sister branch and people there have ordered a fully specced Red one (called Ignition Red instead of Track bRed in Europe) last week. If the Blue one arrives late, along with the others, due to the dealer being slow in ordering, they've told me I could have the Red one instead if I wanted it like really early.

So right now the Blue is locked-in with the possibility of choosing the Red if it arrives sooner - they put down my name on both of them.
This all happened really quick this morning and from being uncertain about having the car at all, I've gone to having to pick between two of them in the coming months. Which is really hard because I love the Blue and the Red almost equally.

With the help from Andy, I've just 'pre ordered' Premium MT in Steel.

@Moses do you know what options were available to be ticked?

It was a weird ordering process due to it being made through Toyota's dealership form. Just the colour, trim level (Dynamic vs. Executive), transmission type and then the usual bits and bobs like special floor mats, boot lid protector, cargo net, etc. etc.

Funnily enough there was the option of the red interior, although Toyota literally sent them emails saying "yeah we won't make those for EU".

One interesting thing to note - there was absolutely zero mention about parking sensors in either of the trim levels (while reversing camera is standard in both.) The dealer had a theory that the sensors are included with the premium trim but there was no mention of that whatsoever. Will be interesting to see if we get sensors too.

Oh and somehow I'll be getting free winter tyres with the car. When it gets delivered in May/June... (Still a nice gesture, all I need is an extra set of rims for them now.)

So the decision has finally been made

I went to see the local CEO today & pre-ordered (expression of serious interest) a Black on Black red stitched Auto GR86, he in turn texted the head of GRNZ to do so who was very pleased

Goodness knows when it will show up but one things for sure it will be well before the 8AT GRC

Great news Greg , I can only assume the CEO will be having Premium trim (or whatever it gets called), anything less wouldn’t be appropriate

Generally we only get the top spec here no lessor options

Like the GRY we only get the Aussie Rallye spec, cross between the convenience & circuit UK Spec

I’m guessing most U.K. orders will be Premium spec, especially as the GR86 is only going to be on sale for a very limited period. I’m expecting a feeding frenzy when it lands in the U.K. and the Press and “influencers” get hold of it, if the U.K. allocation for 2022 is only 400 as mentioned elsewhere, let the fun begin . No doubt the “flippers” will be at their computers at midnight when the order books open

Took alot of ringing around but I have a pre-order with Motorline Horsham - Martin was very helpful.

It makes me feel better but of course like others it's just a promise to order when they can - not an actual order so no guarantees.
