I upgraded my gps + obd logging system to include a gps module (Racebox micro) that integrates seamlessly and turns on/off with the car. 3D printed a mount for it that fits in the mirror assembly and taps into the auto-dimming mirror cable. Got me some new tires, this time Kumho K61 245/40x17. I've had them on another car before and I liked them, but I don't think they will last that long. Threadwear 50
The Yokohama's in the middle are worn out after many event on airports, non-permanent airport track eats tires like nothing else do.

Fitted my summer wheels as we have just started hitting double digit temperatures in the day and the soft rubber winter nordics are turning to mush and feel slow and numb. Switching to the summers with P zero PZ5 has made the car feel razor sharp and responsive again. Needs a good clean mind!

Usually the same for me. But no snow so far for me, bound to snow now I’ve typed this!

Designed and 3d printed some friction fitting centre caps for my Braid rally wheels that lack the groove for retaining normal ones. These retain with an o-ring.

Finishing up installing the Cusco half cage. I've installed a lot of cages, but this is the first time where the interior is staying in, and trying to do as little damage to the car as possibnle is A LOT of work.

Just have to poly seal and install the rear strut backing plates, put the liners back in, tighten all the joints, and roll the padding over the bolted joints. Upholstery leather inbound to cover the holes in the rear panels the struts go through.

Makes the car legal for certain JAF sanctioned competition like gymkhana, etc. But let's face it...it's mostly for looks

We enjoyed the roads from Kirkby Lonsdale to Gisburn and on to The Inn at Whitewell for a few days. I'd seen that Harry had stayed there and decided to give it a whirl (Harry's Garage, I have a list of all of the hotels he stays at, he has good taste and does the homework to see if they are car friendly car parks). It's also good enough for King Charles who stayed there recently... it's a lovely place and I can highly recommend it.

Tws rs339 8.5j (+45) rims and Bridgestone RE-71RZ in 235. Since that's the grmn size and Toyota Japan offers a gr parts rim/tyre combo in that size/offset it seemed like the right choice for a road car. Does seem like most go right to a 9/9.5j on a 255+

Massive upgrade over the stock ps4s in both feel and performance which were just too soft for any hard driving.
Kept the factory bbs rims for winter on michelin x-ice. Got a few things coming next week

Found out my car will take another three weeks minimum to be repaired after a slight front end/deer interface scenario a couple of weeks ago

Lack of some parts from Toyota apparently the cause.

So I continue to trundle round in €28k-worth of Opel Astra. God, it's so, so bad

Hadn’t been on it before and it was bone dry so didn’t brake too much and ended up maintaining 70 round it. Was mildly terrifying / eye opening with the grip levels even after all these years.

My old office was just a few hundred metres up Bath Road from that so yes, done it a few times. And quite often at that kind of speed, even before the Yaris was a gleam in Mr Toyoda's eye

Glad you know it! Yes, the super grippy surfacing was a relief. Got the Skoda today so probably won’t be as confident.

Took mine off road for a little bit of "rally" as I drove to a remote mountain top cabin in Bathurst, Australia.

I am amazed at how nice it felt on the steep gravel roads.
