GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Hahaha! These are available from AliExpress too.

Fitted these a year ago and they hold up well, although some lack of tack around the speakers on the indents. The only downside is that they ship them folded, so there are a couple of crease marks which never quite come out, but better than scuff marks on the plastics.

I got the door and rear shelfs covers in the fabric variant. The door profiles were not a close enough colour match, not helped with the size of material so my eyes were comparing the top OEM fabric to the bottom, they were sent back. The rear shelf covers do not like even a Scottish warm day and the adhesive is not good in a variable temp range or when subjected to direct sunlight, therefore get what looks to be two origami profiles sitting on the rear shelf, solution is to apply a good spray or tape adhesive or replace with a DIY profile from a sheet of the material that has a good adhesive backing.

Has anyone found a really good sheet colour match and one that has a bit more thickness depth to that of the OEM material?

Finally got the GR exhaust tips and the GR performance intake on.

If anyone else is interested I paid £76 import duties for the intake. Surprisingly, it was also £72 for the tips, despite that order being half the price

Just need that red GR oil filter I’m good to go 😅

Just noticed there are carbon and leather affect ones available too..

I accidentally ordered the carbon ones to replace the suade ones I'd fitted previously that were starting to peel where I'd caught them. I was going to list them on the marketplace, so if anybody fancies them keep an eye out. The KUNGKIC ones are good, although removing the door cards is worthwhile when you're fitting them.

I bought the 'carbon' ones last year, but they were backed with 55 pieces of narrow double-sided tape, not the usual self-adhesive stuff. I couldn't face painstakingly peeling off the tape while trying to fit them. Also, I wasn't confident that the fitting around the speaker and some of the edges would be 100%, so they were never fitted. They'd also cover quite a large area, when most marks occur on the bottom 3-4ins, so I'm proposing to cover just that area with the new stuff cut to size.

The best thing I ever did was to cover the sills with suede. Saved trying to clean off those stubborn marks from trainer scuffs.

That's darned good, not to mention a bit inconsistent as I paid £117.31 (£104 vat and 12.75 processing fee). F@%*g UK Customs innit!!🤬
Ahh man, that’s sucks, how annoying! Hard to keep up with the changes in tariffs but that could also be a factor.

Bit of an obscure reference but import duties remind me of that Mitchell Webb Show skit.

(Don't tell everyone, they'll all come here and play - I'm on the Co.Durham/N. Yorks border, so have some great roads on the doorstep)
I'm south Cumbria. People often think that there are loads of great roads in the Lake district, but the Hidden gems are on the eastern side of the M6. Looking back now, I can't believe I haven't taken the GR up around Alston for a good run out.

Now that my spine is somewhat back to normal, I gave the car a light refresh using 'Ceramic GWash', followed by a blow-dry and soft buffing with some 'Pure Definition Ceramic Gloss Detailer'. Then I retired to the internet and treated the car to a set of Tyredox tyre protection pads and another cover from 'Classic Additions', but this time a lightweight washable and breathable one, suitable for both its longterm Winter storage as well as next year's show season bird-poop protection duties ... I'm also gonna celebrate being back on my feet with a drive up to Cafe Nero tomorrow! What a RockStar ...

I spent the morning driving around the NE of Scotland on a friend's KTM Adventure, then back home for the GR86 to do the same route 😁 Now front and centre at 'The Drive at Haddo', whilst coffee and cake is consumed...

Spent a few hours trying to fit ARP extended studs on the rears. Fronts are done (plus a mild spacer) but the rears defeated me today. I rue how easy things are shown in youtube videos sometimes, that hub that effortlessly moves on those cars is stuck firm on mine :cautious:

Took me days to do mine. Keep at it. Make sure you loosen or practically unbolt the 4 bolts that hold the hub so that you can gain more space.

Do you need to loosen the hub if you're replacing the studs with normal length, or only extended ones? I've been thinking about changing to ARP studs purely as a preventative measure, but wont be running spacers.
