GR86 GR86 Gear Knob Thread

This thread is too rude and childish.

Anyway, frosty this morning, so my knob was absolutely freezing cold, could barely touch it for a while....

...and then I got in the car and drove to work! WAAHEEY!!!!

EDIT: Took a better pic in daylight.

I've got the exact same one and love it, feel like the shape complements the oversized reverse lockout really well. Been tempted to get a lightbulb shaped one with the Japanese gear shift pattern but a bit expensive when you don't really need it haha.

Confession time...I've gone back to the OEM gear knob. Although the Billetworkz one is beautiful, I am a delicate little flower and was getting annoyed at how cold it was in the mornings. Think I generally prefer the feel and size of the stock one.

Mine's been on so long I can't remember where I put the OEM one. Need to find that when I get home. I'm happy with it tbh but I've not driven with the stock one long enough to know what I prefer.

I no longer have my GR86 so have no use for the Billetworkz gear know I bought. Obviously a limited market but its on ebay for 40 quid. If anyone wants ot make an offer let me know. Far better for someone to get some use out of it than sit in my cupboard for ever.

It's relisted on ebay, so that link doesn't work anymore - try this : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/187361681752

I'm tempted, but I don't need two!

Anyone fancy getting wood?

UK based too!

I might be in a minority as a dissenting voice, but I think a wooden gear knob wouldn't look quite right in a GR86. The wood and sea of cheap dark plastics would look incongruous.

Absolutely admire the workmanship though, and no doubt would look great in something else (Morgan for example).

Each to their own though
