GR Yaris Show us your aftermarket wheels.

Hi all, I've bought a used set of OZ rally racing wheels, complete with winter tyres & TPMS. I've fitted to the car today & can't get the TPMS to register, which I was expecting. The TPMS are Aliexpress ones as per the link. Has anyone has any success with them? Ali express TPMS
I'll post a pic of the wheels tomorrow in the daylight as it was getting dark by the time I got them on.

OZ Ultraleggera 8J ET35 without putting on a scale seemed very close to the same weight as the forged wheels.

Speedline Turini deep dish in Anthracite.
18x8 ET35 with 60.1 pre installed metal spigot rings and centre caps.
Worth mentioning that the Speedline supplied nuts have a 6mm extended shank that sit perfectly inside the wheel stud holes.
Also the Toyota TPMS sensors fit and work perfectly.
Big thanks to Simon for his advice and also a big shout out to Matthew at Speedline uk 01952-582825.

you need to change the value/ id to the new tpms sensors.

tbh, never done it my self, just done a little research before ordering my new wheels. But, according to that video, the code should be on the packaging or the sensor it self. It may be difficult now once fitted. Perhaps ask the seller?

Have you tried to register ID codes via settings menu? I'm using same sensors on my MK1 and it took 10-15 minutes of driving after I initiated "Identifying Each Wheel & Position".

edit: seems it's called “Register New Valve/ID” on MK2.

I’m having the same issue with Autec valves. The TPMS will need waking from a garage.

Doesn’t really help you, but I have these exact ones and one day they just decided to pair. It was about 2-3 drives after fitting them and trying to go through the options that they did it. So possibly need waking up from a deep sleep mode or something like that.

Maybe somebody can confirm but presumably they are powered by movement as you drive (like a torch that you shake)?

Did you get stung for any import fees?
Weirdly no, I was expecting to, should've been around £200 vat, but they were delivered yesterday, and today I did get a call from someone from fed ex they said I needed to pay fees before the parcel could be delivered (bit late for that lol) but when I asked them to check the parcel number as I've had one of the parcels I was expecting delivered, he basically just said I can see it's been delivered and not to worry 🤷‍♂️😆, I won't be chasing up if they've made a mistake but maybe I'll get a letter if they realise

Aftermarket wheels almost always have 60° taper, do the GRY ones come with a taper or ball seat?

You've reminded me that I need to advertise and shift on my wheel nut stock at a heavily discounted rate to free up room, doesn't matter how attractive the pricing is, nobody seems to be interested.
From what I could find after some small research, this is what the original ones look like:

Ordered a set of nuts at Giva Wheels (NL) who also sell the OZ Rally set like I have, as I don't think the original ones fit the OZ

If they're the originals then they're relatively rare, as they're a flat face fit. Those originals definitely won't fit the OZ wheels.

Just a note on that. This can be a REAL PAIN IN THE ASS.

I recently bought some new wheels too and it took almost an entire week of driving around until the sensors got paired with the car. I was already thinking about visiting a shop about it when it finally happened. Don't know why such a simple process can work so badly.

Anyway here are mine. Borbet DB8GT2. 8,5x18 ET40. Weight around 8,8 kg.
