GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

I went for a test drive yesterday and the car is great, except for the bell ringing when you exceed the speed limit. I hope that can be switched off permanently.
Not a chance. The regulations mean that you'll need to disable it on every trip.

Yes, that's the sad truth. At least until they will scrap the whole ISA thing after the many accidents it will cause in the future.
You can always stop it (anytime you turn the car on) by removing the road signals detection, it was explained on a video on this same thread.
Just an addition to the usual button dance...

I guess they will push a OTA update in a while to add a shortcut for this (eg. double tap the TC button, or the custom drive-mode).
As there will be A LOT of complaints (for every new car, not only GR).

I have to say that I see at least one situation where ISA could effectively help, and it's in Switzerland where you live.
Anytime I do the trip to from Italy to Zürich, keeping pace with the continuous changes of the speed limits in A2 highway is really a stressing (and almost impossible) task!
Mistakes are easy to come, and then expensive tickets could come as well.
So I guess that specific trip it will be one of the few occasions when I will appreciate ISA, I guess.

I love much more the livery for Pajari (biased by my order of a white Mk2, of course... ;))

I mean those are my words not the articles.

With the price uplift, I worked out my monthly would be closing in on double.

Slightly better even in every way doesn't work for me

I'm sure everyone who gets one will enjoy it, I still think there is next to zero reason for a MK1 owner to chop it in for one.
Finance 'deals' or lack of really and the jump in price of have probably priced people out who might have wanted to 'upgrade' which is a shame

A slightly better great car isn't worth the premium when it looks like it does compared to the MK1, but that's subjective I suppose.

looks like people won't have to wait as long to enjoy their mk2 cars like the mk1 though which is great, to all who get one, enjoy :)

They also have the names of the owners of the special editions on the roof.

Just seen already posted
By any chance, may you post the photos with the names, if readable? I'm so much curious about who got them in Italy... 🤔
