GR Yaris Yaris GR Seat Lowering Kit comparison

I'm thinking I'll probably take the plunge and order the SWM kit both sides.

Some positive comments above - have people bought recently and had a smooth install? I remember reading about teething problems and frustrated people.

Also, it suggests forum discount available at the top - does anyone know what it is and how to get it?

Cheers

It is pretty easy, i am no spanner wizard and i managed it.

I found the electrical connection tricky to disconnect as it is difficult to see

And also removing the existing slider handle was a little awkward, but generally not too bad.

The kit is heavy so cumbersome to manoeuvre as is the seat as it is big!!

Hope this helps

Looking at the SWM kit, the upper mounting plate is different for driver vs passenger side, so I'd guess an RHD passenger side won't fit an LHD drivers side.

Probably only the SWM kit is defalut RHD as made in the UK...
I will ping them, but I think the plates are the shape they are becuase of what's mounted below them, and I don't think that changes LHD to RHD?

That's great - thanks!

Ah - good point - I'd assumed that whatever is under the drivers side RHD would be under the drivers seat LHD, but you're right - it could equally be the case that it's always on the right hand side of the car!

The discount code is "GRZOO" as you can see in the first post in the linked thread.

Brilliant - thanks.

Anyone know the weight difference between SWM adjustable and the DNA kit?

Whiche of these do I have to think about left hand drive? Some of em are only shipped to UK also. On those pages you only choose from drivers side or passengers side. Im assuming a UK drivers side is a Norwegian passenger side?
Get in contact with Alexander Wutzke (https://importracing.de/produkt/gr-yaris-sitztieferlegung-oem-sitze/), one of the best investments I've done to my GRY. Tell him Fred has sent you and he will be open to price discussion ;)

Bye for now Fred

Anymore information on this kit? Can't see anything on how the kit is executed.... You have any pics?
If you follow the link and switch to English (upper right corner) you'll find some information. The price is for both seats (LHD cars) or €298.- for single seats and loweres the seats by approx. 35mm (which is very noticable). The set weights about 1 kg each side and is very stable. Please ask for more details (and pics), can't find the fitting instructions and have to take the pictures as you ask.

I don't, but from the thread KimmE_GR linked to earlier, the SWM kit is ~8-9kg each side. I wouldn't have thought other kits will be significantly lighter, but depends how you frame it I guess.

A bag of cat litter is 10kg, and i regularly bung two of those in the boot :)

Bad pic quality and "car in use". Anyway you'll get an impression.
