No issues. The fitter asked me if I realised they were a different size. I said yes. He said ok cool and stuck them on.

if my research is correct then mk4 golf steels will fit, should be picking a set up at the weekend to find out, otherwise forester / impreza steels are the next (rarer) option

I bought a set of GT86 17’s a steal at £150 as in great nick. Got a deal on 215/45/17 Goodyear Vector 4seasons gen3s from National tyre for £405 fitted. Was going to go for 225 as those retail cheaper. Glad I didn’t as the car now is so much quieter and less crashy over the terrible road surfaces round here. Seriously thinking of running aftermarket 17s with 45 profile in the summer as in my opinion the car is more enjoyable for it.
I've swapped the PS4s to Hankook Kinergy 4S2 in 225/40/18 tyres for the winter. I was also considering the Goodyear Vector 4s, reviews on those are great. I think your plan is a good plan
Thanks. I did a bit more research on the PS4 and in every test they were quite poor in the wet with the exception of aquaplaning. I am probably going to go for it..I've swapped the PS4s to Hankook Kinergy 4S2 in 225/40/18 tyres for the winter. I was also considering the Goodyear Vector 4s, reviews on those are great. After an interesting commute at less than 4deg air temp, and therefore near frost at 6am the other day, seriously considering four of these.
I know its a different (4WD) drive train but I've run CC2s on the Yaris for a year now and seem just perfect for everything imo - I'm not doing trackdays, more interested in daily suitability and dealing with all the broken surfaces around here (Sussex). Standing water and leafy slush seem to be their forte, perhaps more road noise is the only downside (but the Yaris is noisy anyway!)
I've just fitted the Kinergy 4S2s in 225 to my OEM wheels for winter. Not tested in any serious weather yet but so far very happy
Four CC2s being fitted at home on Friday. After playing with the pressures and going for a very spirited early AM drive yesterday, I convinced myself that four all-season tyres would be cheaper than pulling it out of a field one day.
