GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Dropped it off for it's first service. Will report back how it goes.

At least they seem to have plenty of parking spaces - the dealerships in the Fife/Edinburgh area have next to none. Having to park outside the showroom on a thoroughfare makes for a nervous game of scuff roulette!
I think I might drive past Glasgow and use Stirling tbh.

It's stayed dry today, so I managed to get two cars washed. One put back in the garage for use tomorrow, but the other is at least clean for next weeks commute. I tried out another two Soft99 products today .

1. Rain Drop - Spray on wet car and microfibre to spread out and polish off. Very easy to use and quick

2. Digloss Kamitore Wheel and Tire Cleaner. Supposedly forms a protective film that prevents dirt from building up again, time will tell on this but it did clean the wheels well along with a couple of brushes for the barrels. Most over the top bottle ever

anyway, it left me with this

Met up with @AWB for a coffee and tweaked his car with Techstream: turned off the ESG and enabled window control from the keyfob. Job done! 👍🏻
Thanks again @Sonic, greatly appreciated and good to catch up. 👍🏼

Car foamed, rinsed and dried to remove the salt and as an added bonus I’m pretty sure I’ll have my own ice rink in the drive way tomorrow! 🤦🏼‍♂️😂

Just incase people don't check the Meet section too often, I'll be hosting an 86 meet at Caffeine & Machine - The Bowl on Sat 3rd Feb, details here:

I’ll pop down but don’t have my car on the road yet. Only live 10 mins away. Would be good for a chat with some owners though.
Looking forward to more meets in the summer though.

Met up with a few friends over the last few days, the cars weren't the focus, but we're car folk, so we took a quick spin out to the shops to get supplies and prompty all parked the wrong way for photos. Red is best colour though...

Cross country today, Dundee to West Sussex. Apart from the screenwash being slightly frozen at the beginning it was an uneventful if very, very long journey. Didn't see a single full-fat GR of any varietal sadly.

Great choice of cars and colour. I'd have all 3.

Saw it starting to snow, went out for a few things - slid up the slip road, unintentional wheelspins when joining the bypass then intentionally sliding in the sleet/snow/sludge. So much fun! - I think the sensitive throttle pedal actually makes it a bit easier to unstick and the traction control is well judged in its lack of low speed intervention.

Although it’s not been anywhere and it had a full wash 2 days ago, I prepared the car to go undercover for a few weeks 🥷.
This involved a good wetting with ‘Carplan Trade Valet High Wax Rinse’ through a Miracle Grow lawn feeder; followed by a soft contact rinse and dry using ‘Auto Glym Quick Refresh’ and an ‘Auto Glym Instadry’ (a routine perfected at many car shows).
Now it’s tucked up again under a ‘Classic Additions Ultimate Outdoor Cover’ and ready for the next bout of Wintery weather. ☃️
[Does my bum look big in this?]
