GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Made me a little present for xMas.
Installed yesterday, after checking some videos on how to acess the related area. Rather easy, in the end.
Looks great. Makes the car start much faster, of course.
What else: Milltek exhaust arrived at the dealer, going to make an appointment in january - if acceptable weather conditions. Appointment planned as well for ppf of front bumper and bonnet, found a trustworthy shop for that.
Not many km driven in the last weeks, weather too bad, and no winter tires on. Don't want salt on the underbody anyway.

I adjusted my rear lights.. The hole that the white connectors sit in is blind so I won't bother with the o rings... I'll check them in a few weeks but I don't see the connectors moving...

I did find a patch of paint on the bumper at the bottom corner of the NS light where its been rubbing against the light fitting so I moved it up slightly whileI tightened the two lower light retaining bolts and added some insulation tape to the area to try and prevent further damage... It's not visible anyway because sits under the plastic shroud with the two green retaining clips... Not the best build quality and I'm surprised that these lights fouling the body aren't picked up when they do the walk round inspection at the factory or better still when they are fitting the lights... All they need is a credit card sized piece of plastic to act as a no-go gauge.. Not rocket science is it

Nice report. Would not describe the car different from that. Right on the point.
And I am a bit jealous because of the exhaust. Soon switching to Milltek, because hardly anything available here with EU certificate. But this will for sure not be close to that sound.
I’ve had the Milltek on mine for about 6 months and I am happy with the sound, way better than stock, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I grinded in FH5 to unlock my own car, just so I can check out how some mods would look on it and also lowering it, to consider my real life options.
Two days of grinding from late evening until 3am, for about an hour of playing with mods and taking virtual pictures.

...then I jumped it off of the tallest cliff I could find. I'll probably never play the game again

I picked up a set of these yesterday. Some of the wheels will require a bit of TLC, but not a full refurbishment (they've had that not too long ago).

They're genuine BBS 3-piece wheels, 18x8 ET33, so should sit pretty flush (around 21mm out from stock). I'll be reusing the stock tyres and tpms sensors.

No doubt they'll be a bit marmite, being gold German OES wheels for a German car. :ROFLMAO:

If all goes well, they should be on the car tomorrow. I'll give them a good decon and ceramic coat today if the weather improves.

Bought my just turned seventeen year old a racing sim [cheap XBox compatible] for Christmas - so they can teach themselves to drive… [all the driving instructors are booked till 2025]

crossed my mind I could use it to learn/improve my driving. [DRIFTING!!]

Is FH5 the best “GR86 Simulator” or is there something better for X-Box?

Needs to support three pedals and a manual box. Thanks.

Another red wine fuelled shop at Vistaprint. This time some inside window stickers, a bumper sticker and another Tee shirt that display the car’s name. That’s it, I’m off the booze 😝
