Took some celebratory 1000 mile photos after a quick drive out to the Cotswolds barn, cars dirty but epic above 4k!

Went to a Petrolhead Tours meet with some fellow locals who coincidentally all have Caymans (Caymen?!) of various guises.
Can highly recommend the tours. I did the Scotland one last March and it’s probably the best thing I’ve done in a car.

I prefer the shark blue one at the back personally! That Gentian Blue GT4!!!!! Very nice indeed.
North Dorset. Ha ha, that sounds dangerous. But I'm all for a meet up at some point.I’ll be the only owner in Weymouth, when it turns up. Where are you, we might have to have a game of cat and mouse on some of our lovely Dorset B roads![]()
Did the oil and filter today. Pretty straightforward though I did the obligatory spilling a bit of oil on the drive. The oil looked pretty clean and there were no metal bits or RTV in the drain pan. Total cost for millers EE performance 0W20 and an OEM filter + washer £69.90 plus 20 minutes of my time.
The oil was really clean, no bits in the bottom of the drain pan when I emptied it out. I was going to cut the filter open but decided that would be a messy job and if there were bits of metal in there no way of telling if it was from the engine or cutting open the filter.Any crud in the oil or oil filter? How was the quality of the oil on the way out?
Others first changes appear to be clean as well - perhaps why they aren't done anymore by most brands?
Tolerances, quality control etc improvement over the years perhaps means generally you aren't generating a glitter bomb in your oil any more?
It depends what you call clean - mine looked cleanish when a drop was on your finger, but in a clear glass bottle it is jet black. I still think it is slightly overkill to change it but I couldn't stop myself.Others first changes appear to be clean as well - perhaps why they aren't done anymore by most brands?

Yeah, maybe I’ve been a bit more used to diesels in recent years which are always really black. As you say cleanish on your finger, but dark when in a big container. It depends what you call clean - mine looked cleanish when a drop was on your finger, but in a clear glass bottle it is jet black.
