GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Fitted reverse bulbs. All you need is a butter knife

Also tested to see if the bike fits. May do with a wheel off but handle bars are quite wide and steerer has limited movement. May have to get a Seasucker after all. Not the end of the world and worst case I do it from the front passenger side. It's rare I need to transport the bike anyway

Anyone else finding the road noise a bit tiresome on longer drives? I seem to need the radio around 14-15 when on the motorway just to drown it out a bit. Seems the PS4's make a weird frequency vibration that gets transmitted through the suspension components. Even worse on rough tarmac. You can feel it through the pedals sometimes. It's my only gripe with the car. It's bloody brilliant otherwise!

It'a significant but no worse than the old car, and I find the sound system better in the new car, so that makes up for it...I've done a few long motorway drives and can listen to podcasts perfectly comfortably at a cruise, so that will do me.

1) Sorted out the space under the boot so it's now got a few tools, extra tyre gunk, warning triangle etc.
2) Put a covering over the boot carpet (a cut camping tarp).
3) Put a sticker on.
4) Test fitted some switchable lighting for the footwells as I liked the blue LED lighting on a previous car.
5) Decided I'll leave the sill protection on as I like the colour!

This was the case with GT86s as well unfortunately, I’m pretty sure I got my tinnitus from long drives to London (or maybe it was due to custom exhaust 😅).
That’s the only gripe I have with this car, but I refuse modding this time around - even to install sound deadening .

Anyway, dropped mine off to install front and partial side PPF and get ceramic coating. I’ll finally be able to post some pictures 😏I kept the delivery film all this time and might have got some strange looks on the way there today, but 🤷‍♂️

They look good!
Thanks for the info. I have ordered as well :)
Just don't go down the rabbit hole of amazon jp. There are a load of interior trim pieces you can buy for half the price of what 86worx resell them for. The transmission tunnel I'm finding is a scratch magnet from my watch

Only had the car 4 days and first mod fitted, the TRD GR Aero Stabilizing Cover. Got it from Fensport just before Christmas. Looks really well, plan to get it ceramic coated along with the rest of the car, as it will definitely scratch easily.

Yeah, I'm noticing that too, which seems weird as our other car is an MX-5 also equipped with PS4s but without the same road roar?

Quick question… does this cause rain water to cascade in to the boot when you open the hatch?
I only ask because I’ve had similar on previous cars and it essentially flung water over the drainage channel and straight in to the boot when it was opened haha.

I hope not 😮 lol, will keep an eye on it and revert back once the car is out in the rain. Safely tucked up in the garage for now

The old car suffered from a lot of road noise, it was quite easily remedied without too much time and money as the interior was so easy to take apart. The most effective place I found to quieten it down was the rear wheel wells, take off the quarter panel trim, fit sound deadening and insulation matting made a massive difference with minimal effort.

I collected my car from being polished, PPF'd and ceramic coated today, its great to get it back and see it looking so clean. I do love the look of it despite being taunted by mrs for the back end looking like an Insignia, even warming to the black wheels. Some quick phone photos I took whilst I was there...

I have built up a number of GR86 sundries that I need to fit. Those puddle lights need to be added to the list too...
