GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Reverse LEDs fitted, saved them for last thinking they'd be the trickiest but what a piece of cake.

The colour and brightness is now matching what you'd expect from a 2022 model! Only thing I'm unsure of is how they look through the lenses

Thanks I bought some cheap ones too, think they were 1000lm. Will use these first once the car arrives in Spring to see how they fare, before plumping for higher specced lights. Also, I couldn't work out what the Wattage draw on the higher lumen ones were, which I thought might create an issue?

When replacing halogen with LED, wattage on all LEDs will be less than the halogen units

as an example lets consider a 50w halogen GU10 spot lamp, even the highest power LED draws 10w, or 20% of the halogen.

60-odd miles from the Suffolk coast to the Norfolk coast today. I note the gearbox is already feeling much nicer than when I collected and say the first hundred miles. I'm up to c.300 miles now.

I think it might be the nicest gearbox I've ever had.

PS vote for me or I'll post a picture for the January entry of me draped over the bonnet in my special pyjamas.

so much better aren’t they. No idea why these couldn’t have been fitted from factory. Can’t imagine hulk buying LED bulbs that expensive in the grand scheme of things.

Did the doors easy. The interior ones pop off OK with the spudger. Don't do what I did and push the bulb in too hard and pop it into the housing. It's a bitch to fish back out then retwist the bulb mount back on.

170-odd mile trip from the east coast to home today. The car continues to impress in all areas. I don't seem to be having any issues with the Android Auto connection, unlike some comrades.

Just under 500 miles now. Today's trip of mostly NSL (ish) cruising and light traffic yielded 36mpg indicated.

Saw a red GR Yaris and shared a wave.

Arrived home to my V5 and finance paperwork!

PS - the boot easily swallowed enough luggage for two over five nights (plus some Christmas goodies for family) using some squishy bags.

I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned it, but there wasn't anywhere to hang my jacket...

Great picture.

The more pictures I see of Magnetite Grey or Silver GR86's the more I'm convinced they are (in my opinion) the best colours for the car. Silver clearly shows off the beautiful lines of the car.
