GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Went to fill up after work and ended up behind one of our car's great uncles. Decided to give her a hose down while I was there and they thought so too! The absolute hero also let me use the last two minutes left on the timer when he was done. Definitely needed the extra time to vanquish splattered bugs all over the front. God I want a Mk4...

Had a week in Anglesey and North Wales. Roads were sublime. As was the weather and the car. Did just over a thousand miles in the last week. Came home, cleaned it, topped up the fluids and away until the next adventure. Anglesey, even though it's an island, I find it so much fun to drive there. Most people drive slowly but you do come across a few who can really pedal and often in something unassuming which was great fun.

Mileage now 23159. Put about 500ml of oil in to get it just past the upper mark. Not concerned but will keep an eye. If it ends up being PCV, how much nonsense am I expecting to go through to get that changed out? Only other issue is slight misting on the rear camera. If I air dryer it, it clears so is a failed seal.

I have just contacted Toyota for a PCV valve for my car as notice slight up and down while idle while idling , to remove and refit is kinda easy the part last check was around 20 pounds

Should you need to replace your rear camera, give me a shout. I bought one off eBay when mine started to act up, but it turned out the camera was fine. They're easy to replace, too. It cost me about £80 quid so I was going to stick it on eBay to recoup some money, but haven't got around to it yet. I guess not a huge market, so may as well sell it to someone here who needs it.

Unless you're just going to try and claim under warranty, but dealers always seem an utter faff.

Oh, and PCV valve replacement is easy.

I may give Toyota first go since it's under warranty and to give them a chance to prove paying so much for servicing is worth it in any way.

Mine fluctuates when idling too… only 100rpm or so but you can hear (and see) it pretty clearly. Didn’t think there was anything wrong, just assumed it was a characteristic of the car. Maybe I should get it checked out.

I managed to get a photo showing the condensation in the camera. John Roe Toyota in Hull replaced the camera under warranty when the car was in for diff oil replacement, no fuss at all.
