GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Yes, most successfully too. I had a heavy gate dropped onto my NSF wing. See within my 'Members Cars' thread here, here and here. As long as the paint isn't split you should be okay, otherwise it'll probably require a more intensive repair. What happened? Did you get whacked by an exit barrier trying to escape a car park?
Lorry ran over a large tree branch and it chucked a stick at me from underneath, popped the wing mirror cover off too but luckily that just pushed back on

Look great when new but mine started to show wear after about 6 weeks. They now sell an additional pad which goes where your heal rests which might stop/delay some of the wear - waiting for my complimentary one to arrive after I complained about the poor quality of the mats.

Ouch 😬 good to know! Thanks for the heads up!

Haven't used mine for long enough for this, but sometime back I bought a set of thin generic rubber mats (£8 from Amazon) and cut them to fit inside the 3D trays so that they didn't get wrecked by the garage when I was having the BBK fitted. I decided they could stay. Mats for my car mats?! This is just too damned crazy right?🤪

Yeah, same - showed wear and discolouring (where your heel sits) in no time at all. Not good when you consider how much they cost.

Anyone used paintless dent removal before? 😢View attachment 32784
Had many dents massaged out from various cars over the years - in fact I now know my PDR guy quite well. There was only one dent he couldn't do as it was quite severe and deep - needed a traditional body shop repair. In fact I just had 2 dents removed from my GR86 recently (bonnet and an indentation where a door edge looked to have been opened on my door). All completely removed without trace. I'd say provided that he (or she) can get behind the dent and it isn't on a particularly reinforced part of the car (which I doubt it is if a stick can do that), then that should come out (a reasonable body shop or detailer will probably be able to buff those light scratches out too). Probably worth getting a new strip 'thing'.

The absence of 'Depth of Field' between those lovely wheels and the Kerb in that photo is giving me palpitations ...
It's okay. That's My Spot (TM) so I'm pretty well practiced at parking there and keeping a good few inches clear of the kerb.

Got a puncture repaired and finally got the car washed after this torrid weather. Seeing the lines of dirt being stripped away by the power washer, lush. Discovering the new chips on the passenger door hidden by dirt, not so lush :ROFLMAO:

It’s always so painful, hope you’ve got some nice touch up paint!

Got its second service done today, they also replaced the driver's window regulator as it was making a clunking sound.

Had a gutless manual yaris as courtesy car, what a piece of (insert expletive)

Quick question on this please - was the clunking sound as you opened the door (and it automatically drops)? Or was it when you manually opened/closed the window? Mine makes a noise when I open the door but I’m not sure if it’s the regulator or the window slightly sticking to the rubber seal.

Whenever it was lowered down

I’ve noticed as you open the doors there is a clunk before the window drops - thought it might be the glass sticking to the seal but the sound is like a seatbelt buckle hitting metal (it isn’t). It’s on both doors. Seems to have started with the colder weather.
