'With my GR today' I popped out for a quick drive 
Been a few weeks due to work travel. A circuitous route through Hertfordshire that gets me to Baldock Services for a coffee and pee stop, then back down the A507 A10 then back roads through Hertford back to North London eventually. Nice

I sat in stationary traffic on the M18 for two hours yesterday afternoon; still not entirely sure why (Police “concern for safety” is a bit vague, but the most detail available at this point…)

Soooo… an offside front wheel stud this time.
Alignment at Demon Tweeks..
To be clear, all wheels had only been off 3x times by myself with hand brace. And tightened to 120nm/88ft/lb.
This offside stud snapped in demon Tweeks being removed by impact wrench. Luckily I had a spare stud and nut with me.

It was a pain in the arse (drop links were seized at 18 months old) but the HKS Hipermax S coilovers are on and new wheels and tyres fit beautifully (18x8.5 ET38 with 225/40ZR18 Goodyear Supersports if you’re interested)

I'm in Edinburgh for a 3 day conference tomorrow. Unfortunately I will be flying upDrove from Germany to Amsterdam yesterday, then from the ferry terminal in Newcastle to Edinburgh today. After 1500 faultless miles gave it a well deserved wash.

FYI ET38 seems fine with a 225 tyre. The visual difference is minor though.

Great to see you Jim. I'll pop a few photos in the events thread later in the week. As I said loved your Silver '86 really looked good - spent the 2 hours drive back wondering how much I'd get for the BoxsterWent to the MR2 day at the Ricoh in Cov with the wife and little one. Bit different to the usual venue but nice to meet @MR2rob and see a couple of other 86s in the line up. We just need to find a few spare grand for the missus to indulge in an MR2 now
