GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

Today's excuse to get the car out... My sister visited yesterday and managed to leave the dog bowl behind! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Obviously I couldn't risk the poor dog not having a way to drink in this heat, so I took one for the team and embarked (๐Ÿถ pun, sorry) on an hour round trip to deliver it back to them!

As an aside, she has a pretty cool Elgrand camper, which I believe has the same engine as the 350Z in it, so it sounds great!

She also mentioned there is a blue GR86 on her road but no sign of that... I will see one in the wild at some point!

Love that camper.

Morgan's Army Drive. Morgan is a local boy who doesn't have long left to live. He loves cars so today it was arranged to have a drive past his house. Was short notice, although I only live round the corner. Organisers expected maybe 600 cars and bikes. Total vehicles of all shapes and sizes was well over 7000! Brought the town to a standstill while the convoy made it's way to Swansea Airport

That is absolutely heart-warming. Well done to you and to all of those who took part. A demonstration of the truly positive side of Social Media in action.

Respect. 7,000+ vehicles is incredible.

He was due to go to Silverstone in a few weeks but he won't be here by then. So Mercedes brought the car to him (The FIA demo in Merc Livery)

What it shows that when us petrolheads are needed to support a cause, there's no half measures. So many kids were interested in the 86, even amongst everything else that went. Took near 3hrs to do the 10 mile route and there was people all along it. The turnout I still can't get over.

Installed GR/TRD duckbill (drilling way ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ ). Didn't take any good shots of so i might upload something later on.

An amazing event and sure it made the little lad very happy, just very hard to imagine when something as soon as the British GP he might not be here. Great effort by Mercedes F1 and all involved to make something like this happen and special.

First round of chemo was just after lockdown and he was getting over it but then it came back more aggressive so they put him on Palliative care and gave him 3 weeks to live. He probably has 10 days at most left which is really sad. He's only 3.

Wow thats terrible, I hope being 3 he's just a little less aware of the situation than if he was older. Some things are very unfair.

Looks great!
What difference has it made to the handling and ride please?
My son wants me to lower mine and add spacers.
Thanks! There's way less understeer going in to fast corners which I'm loving and it's removed a surprising amount of body roll that I didn't realise was there.

In terms of ride, it's much stiffer and you definitely bounce around a little more inside at lower speed as a result but no worse than any other lowered sports car I've been in.

No need with these!
Are you sure? Do the wheels spacers come with studs? Some people said the thread engagement in the oem stud will reduce too much to be safe. I will try to get you a link to that forum thread later on

Yeah the spacers come with studs. Both the OEM studs to the spacer and spacer studs to wheels have plenty thread engagement so not a concern for me!

Thanks - how low have you gone with the coil overs?
