GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

3D printed a new number plate holder for front to suit the squarer type plate

Fingers crossed, but that looks like a fair impact. Hopefully you can push the bumper back in and clean the crap off and it will be good....no note left, I assume?

Bumper went back in. Just need to see once it's clean. Hopefully get away with it. No note or nothing.

Some kind arsole in St Ives drove into my car, hopefully the ppf caught most of it, need to give it a good clean when I get home. Not a great experience!
EFA, as they say.

Prick(s). Hope you get it sorted OK.

So sorry to hear; looks like an SUV almost rode over your bonnet!
This is where a Dashcam with parking mode may help. I set mine for 2 hours, which is usually enough for my shopping/sightseeing in the GR86 - I get twitchy leaving it alone for any longer… 😬

Today my car told me the battery in my fob was low, so I ordered a pack of four Duracells from eBay for a less than a fiver. CR2032 is what you want.

Looks like it's a very easy job to replace too. Not paying the dealer or Halfords £10-£15 to do it.

Swapped exhaust to Kakimoto Class KR axleback and I'm in process of KW Clubsport reinstall after warranty work. Went to OEM mounts in the rear - so far I really like it on the street. Front struts and alignment to go soon.

So @Sonic spur me into action. Question though, I let mine months in its packing and the pink oil pooled to one side of the bag, in short, the filter element was soaked in it, I dried it with paper towels as much as possible but it still was quite wet and could see a bit of pooling happening still but went ahead and installed it anyway.
So, is it safe for that oil to get into the throttle body and motor?

@Grblue86, if it was me I’d have ‘serviced’ the filter before installing to ensure proper oil distribution, using either the K&N, or Toyota cleaning kits. With the lubricant pooling down one end I can only imagine that the filtering performance would be degraded and you might suck through too much? It wouldn’t inspire confidence in me for sure 😬

Do you know which cleaning kits are they specifically? I have a habit of buying the wrong stuff

Toyota’s installation guide for the Intake recommends a service every 50k miles with “K&N Recharger Filter Service Care Kit”, part number 99-5000 or 99-5050. Both can be found online. I found the 'international' (EU) Aerosol one at £13.49 with Euro Car Parts.
