GR86 What car did you previously drive ?

Yep they sure are rare, I think I have only seen one. I have a soft spot for White over Gold and Green over Gold (Sherwood Toning i think it called) as well, mine was Light Blue Mica

I like those colour combinations as well. The well known breaker and MR2 nut Neil Jones has a mint one in black with original blue tinted glass and low mileage, which is fab. I have a 1a project in the very rare 8B8 electric metallic blue but have no time to do it so am planning on getting her gone this year.

The old photo doesn’t do the colour justice. It wasn’t actually black. It was a very dark pearlescent blue. IMO the colour was fantastic. At the time I had two work mates with MR2s. One red, one white and we used to park them together whenever we could.

That’s a lovely looking Cayman, how does it compare to the GR86?

Thanks. Similar machine but different quality and dynamic more GT, far longer geared and needs revel more but speeds way more then. Handles great, speeds higher though to have fun. Basically it does move about just alway grips not twitching but that makes it now as light fun at the speeds GR is fun at. Higher quality. Interesting GR attracts more attention, possibly due to some folk don’t know what GR is.
