I'm glad my car wasn't stolen during the "drive home" insurance period. Toyota's insurance company could've said a claim was invalid due to the Toyota online team giving false information to customers about security?
If you've subsequently put "manufacturer security" when getting insurance presumably you are covered ok as you've not specifically said alarm? If Toyota have provided false information to the insurance database then that's not the fault of the customer.
I realise alarms make minimal difference to security but it's pretty crap that, once again, we find the cars we ordered are not in the spec we paid for. I suppose it's no surprise that Toyota UK continues to mess things up. No alarms and no surprises as Radiohead once said.
