Codes should never be published on the internet! Please amend to exclude options and make more generic as per my example quote. You could end up facing legal action.Today I got an Autowatch approved installer to put a Ghost2 on my car. He told me that apparently the sequence can be made only with specific controls. Can someone with a ghost2 installed on their car tell me if they are using any other switches? Thanks
I’m very sorryCodes should never be published on the internet! Please amend to exclude options and make more generic as per my example quote. You could end up facing legal action.
There are other options - I will DM you.
NP! An easy mistake to make. I’m not a moderator so I can’t make adjustments to your post. At least you have since been able to edit those details out yourself. I have sent you a DM regarding a more extended list of options.I’m very sorry. I’ve edited that. Thanks Sonic for pointing it out. I tried deleting my post. Can’t seem to do it. If you could do it, that would be great.
Ghost 2 is only an immobilser. The car has already an immobiliser from factory. The only thing the Ghost will help with is Keyless repeater theft.Today I got an Autowatch approved installer to put a Ghost2 on my car. He told me that apparently the sequence can be made only with specific switches. Can someone with a ghost2 installed on their car tell me if there are other options? Thanks
Maybe send that to Toyota as they don't seem to have a clue as to whether an aftermarket alarm can be fitted or not.If anyone is interested, here are the install documentation:
Sadly yesBoth keys got stolen ?
Sadly yes![]()
The car is having a complete lock set replacement so the old physical keys won’t work. The lock sets arrived pretty quick as they were on the shelf in the uk.That's terrible! Presumably the new keys will be reconfigured with new coding? But what about the small physical key on the old fob that will open the driver's door? Will you have to have new locks then? Presumably the new coding will prevent the car being driven if it is entered though. It's a warning to us all - keep your spares in a separate place. No guarantee that it won't be found and taken of course.
I've just checked, you can still look up the spec of your car (based on VIN) on: https://www.toyota-tech.eu/Menu/Repair then vehicle specification. Still has it listed for mine as Alarm/immobiliserI have had another reply from FO asking for more detailed info this time, one item they are asking for is the original spec sheet/advertising bumf mentioning the alarm, I think someone did post it on here but can someone point me in the right direction for it? Thanks.
