They gave you the 23rd March date a while back didn't they? Or am I confusing you with someone else? (that date rings a bell)

Anyone who’s car didn’t have a “confirmed” delivery date was pushed to 23rd March and now every month they push it back a month until you have an actual date

I did one of those (if there were more than one), nice bacon sandwich and a talk by Jonathon Palmer to start. Later in the day had a passenger lap in a GT86 race car driven by his son . . .

I bet you’ll be glad if you get allocated one that you’re not in America! The mark ups on them there are obscene. They’ll be scalped to death in the UK on the secondary market though.
 
Received an email yesterday afternoon confirming my preferred financing options ‘in anticipation of my car arrival at the dealers’. Not sure if it’s a good sign. Status hasn’t changed on nyToyota.
Anyone else received the same/similar?

Yeah, almost a month ago now. Heard nothing else since.
 
If the car arrives at the dealership just before Christmas period ( say we are on holiday hence can’t pickup the car), would the dealership keep the car say for couple of weeks. One might think they bloody kept it for months in Derby, so why not. But I remember reading in terms and conditions something about our obligation finalising the sale. Was it max within a month after car arrives at the dealership that we need to pay and collect the car?

I don't think it specifies exactly so it would be up to you to agree something with the dealer. If you've paid for the car, then it is yours so you'll want to make sure it is fully insured etc if you're leaving it there.

As per this whole process..... they'll basically just do whatever they want at their own convenience so I'd be taking it off their hands ASAP.

9.2 Your Dealer will contact you to arrange a suitable date and time for collection of your vehicle

10.2.1 you do not make any payment to us when it is due and you still do not make payment within 7 days of us reminding you that payment is due;
10.2.2 you do not, within a reasonable time of us asking for it, provide us with information that is necessary for us to provide the vehicle; and
10.2.3 you do not, within a reasonable time, collect the vehicle from us

Had a call from the dealer. Demonstrator car available end of this month and my order arrives early December. It was a voicemail. Will confirm on Saturday. I guess there’s finally movement with the UK stock.

Demos will be available from 18th November at any one of the Toyota GR Centres listed below should you wish to test drive before confirming your order. If you wish to finalise your order without a test drive, please do so by simply replying back.

Regretfully, due to limited supply, there are no Automatic GR86available to test drive and there are no demo models available in Northern Ireland.

Received today by email… I wonder who is going to be the first on the forum to receive theirs?

Also received this Email, did as I was told and rang Yeovil Toyota GR centre, didn’t have a clue what I was taking about, gave up with the conversation and hung up. My local none GR have at least been on the ball as much as they can

Yes, I have this too, 10:18 order and currently in transit. Since they have no auto demo cars, I'll skip the demo. I only really wanted to try the gadgets, I have no doubt the car will drive acceptably well :)
