Also told the colour is done on site pre fitting. Hopefully the dealer doesnt just find the nearest matching Toyota paint to the Subaru palette!

They do apparently - mine were initially delivered to the dealership unpainted/black, which the dealer returned and re-ordered in the body colored. Can't see why dealer would cook up a story here, as it didn't impact the delivery timeline either.
Well I was emailed back that they are painted here, can't get a straight story from Toyota
You had them done cakper?
I'm still considering it. If you're happy with them and got them done at the same dealer, then I guess I should just get them sorted.

Mine is booked in for the 7th March - bit of a delay as I wanted a courtesy car. They're also trying to get the unlock both door working and supply the cargo net (don't need it fitting - I can do that).

Nope my dealer (Cheltenham) was brilliant but I did STRESS how much of a perfectionist I am and they put their guy on it who's got his own collection of Toyotas and is totally of the same mindset as me. He even sent me a LOAD of photos of the work. The sensors aren't in your face, whilst they are visible I don't think it changes the 'look' of the car at all. I'm pleased I've got them as they already saved me from a potential scrape on my dodgy driveway, and were super helpful getting used to how far away the rear of the car is when backing into car park spaces.
Oh and yes TOL told me the the sensors arrive pre-painted but they don't, they are black plastic and the dealer gets them painted (next door at a 3rd party business, in my case).

I've just emailed TOL to enquire. How long did it take them to organise and do it? My car is already booked in next Friday to have the recall done, and I've booked a courtesy car, so would be handy if they can arrange it that quickly.
I was told they will be fitted before delivery... and they weren't. Waited a month for parts to arrive, and dropped off the car for a same-day fitting that took two days. At least they gave me a brand new corolla as a loan car...I might have a nose at your car next time I'm walking the dog that way. Just heard that my dealer hasn't received the sensors but should have them by the middle of March. Should be on track though for a pick up this week (hopefully Wednesday as it has a 23 plate - do I get bonus points for playing You're so vain by Carly Simon as I leave drive home?)

Wow, I wonder what the delay is - the sensors are not specific to the GR86 so maybe they've run out of stock. For me TOL told me they'd send a set of sensors to my local dealership and the next day they arrived. (Then the dealer had to get them painted and then they needed my car for a day, but the sensors arrived quickly!)

Was told the same, TOL that they'll be about 1 week (mid Jan), Ive chased the dealer and "they've not arrived", I dont actually believe them but cant be arsed to challenge him. Luckily Im getting used to the camera and no beeps (Im used to looking in my mirrors and using the beeps for final approach) so 'just' looking at the camera is still a challenge and I almost reversed into my other car but stopped just in time!) funny how you just get used to the audible warning and without it you (I) forget to look at the screen!
Sensors have arrived a week early at the dealer, unpainted! Going to a local paint shop, should be ready next week.
I wasn't given an option, wonder if the 2 options were painted and unpainted?
