GR Yaris The Latest on GR Yaris (UK waiting list)

They’re clearly disappearing at quite a rate, but the higher mileage ones seem to be hanging around in the main. I guess most people are searching out the newest and lowest mileage if they missed out on a new one? It must also reflect the fact the supply of new ones has reduced to a trickle and ‘flippers’ are pretty much done with it now.

And if you are picky and want an unmodified scarlet flare circuit pack with under 2000 miles there are none.

I wouldn’t mind a higher Miles one if the price was reflected well
But 31599 for one currently on auto trader with 8988miles on
Or £29495 for one with 39900 miles on
That’s a lot of extra wear and tear for only saveing 2k

And that’s how most people will look at it
For 2k more I can have 31000 less miles on the car
The prices on the higher millage ones will have to come down a bit I think

These cars are made to be driven so people will look at the mileage and wonder how hard a life they have had so most will want a low mileage car although that isn't a guarantee. There are lots of modifications to be bought now so a standard car (not modified) might be most peoples choice so they can do their own. Quaife are now offering LSDs for the GRY at a good price so a standard or convenience can now be easily updated with the options that were offered new. The options are now endless to modify exactly how you want it for a low mileage standard car driven by a grandad to the shops and back.

The prices are defo coming down to below £30k for higher milers but it's still only a 3.5k loss in 2 years.

Give it a year or two and prices will slide back up again.

Has anyone see that the run out Polo GTi is £35k and the JCW run out Mini JCW is closer to 40.

The prices for our type of car do generally drop a little after the hype has died and then stabalise then start to go up. I think that is quite normal and choosing the right time for buyers of used cars is important. I am not a mechanic so would be nervous about buying a high mileage gry as future is uncertain about possible wear and tear parts and costs. Not everyone could buy new, cherish and keep forever so a little bit of crossing fingers and hoping is required with used sports cars and deep pockets if things go wrong if warranty is voided. Hopefully everyone will get what they want and be fine with them.

The relative abundance of cars in the UK seems to have allowed prices to soften slightly. The cheapest I can see anywhere near me are still RRP or higher, pretty much as it was in March when I last checked.

Maybe I’m the only person hoping that in future they don’t become ridiculously valuable and hence a thief target :p
