GR86 The GR86 “The Orders / Owners List / GR86 Register”

Picked up my 86 on Saturday. My first impressions;
Handover was smooth from Snows Toyota Millbrook Southampton. 10 miles on the clock. 1/4 tank of RON 97. Got a Issho toy only.
Car; all I can say is WOW. It is beautiful and drives better than it looks.
Car is comfortable yet finely balanced though corners. Not upset by uneven surfaces just rides through them confidentially. Engineers have done excellent job with the suspension. Cockpit is nice place to be. I like simple lines and seats are supportive and comfortable.
Engine and power delivery is excellent. It gives instant linear power as all good N/A engines do. Still keeping it bellow 4000 rpm, but this engine has torque at low revs. Driving in higher gears is not a chore due to plentiful torque.
It reminded me of Porsche 944 2.5 but in modern clothes. Light and balanced with nice gear change. Gearbox I like, but it doesn’t have a patch on Honda. Honda makes, in my opinion best manual gearboxes full stop.
I am not a fan of indicator stock and how it operates. In car graphics could have been a bit sharper. Bit noisier then I expected due to reduced sound proofing.
There you go, only three minor gripes so far.
Car was well worth the wait and I love it.

Good point re. the 944 @Salko_GR .

And I'd say my gearbox has steadily got a lot nicer to use since collection (I'm on just over 600 miles now).

Congratulations! Another one ticked off the list.

First opportunity for a proper GR86 meeting “Up North” along with GRYs and Supras as well 😎

43 demonstrators on the list 👍 anyone got info on the other 20 something 🤔
