GR86 The GR86 “The Orders / Owners List / GR86 Register”

According to the Gatwick Toyota dealer, there are currently no plans for any other versions and he knows for a fact the TRD version will never be sold in the UK or Europe as there is no market for it. However, he also told me that he could take a £500 deposit for a pre-order :D

The truth is nobody knows what will happen. Admittedly, I have no idea about the manufacturing resources but but once the GR Corolla comes out you would imagine that a significant amount of resources will allocated towards it.

Thanks to everyone on this thread/forum. First time posting but lots of great info here which helped contribute to me putting down a second deposit on a vehicle I've not even seen, never mind driven! 😃.

Lots of time to change mind if it doesn't turn out as good as I hope but tbh I sincerely doubt that will be the case.
 
I got a car online the other week, but out of curiosity had a look at Toyota.co.uk this morning at 10am and I could see the GR86 listed with all the other cars under buy online, when I checked 10 minutes later that link had been pulled. Not wanting to worry anyone but I wonder if it actually sold out in the first 10 minutes and they pulled it from the website thinking that would stop further orders without actually disabling the link which was circulating on here. Did anyone who ordered after 10.10am actually get an email from Toyota with an estimated delivery?

My order went in at 10:06 and no email with estimated delivery yet.

That's an interesting one! I'm actually looking forward to the piped in noise.

My celica has a huge Jap speed exhaust and I ended up having to put the baffle back in because it woke the wife up when I came home late from band practise.

I like being able to hear the car, even if my neighbours would prefer they couldn't.

Should be a happy compromise, at least for me.

If its piped in from the engine bay at least it should sound less artificial?

I think I might keep it. Coming from GT86 and having installed a de-cat Cobra exhaust - I'm pretty sure that thing gave me tinnitus.
Now it's back to stock exhaust and I have to say I actually enjoy it much more this way!

Order confirmation received @ 10.11am this morning. No delivery estimate email received yet.
 
My order went through 10:23am and no email about estimated delivery yet.
If this fails I'll just go with m240i, no losses there :)

I used the link that came in the email from Toyota telling me that the GR86 was going on sale today, not the one circulated on here, I have emails to confirm the order, but no delivery date yet. I don't think there's any need to panic.
