I got a car online the other week, but out of curiosity had a look at Toyota.co.uk this morning at 10am and I could see the GR86 listed with all the other cars under buy online, when I checked 10 minutes later that link had been pulled. Not wanting to worry anyone but I wonder if it actually sold out in the first 10 minutes and they pulled it from the website thinking that would stop further orders without actually disabling the link which was circulating on here. Did anyone who ordered after 10.10am actually get an email from Toyota with an estimated delivery?

I'd be more inclined to believe that those of us waiting on a delivery schedule might have opted for finance, and with additional paperwork to sort out it might just be taking a little longer...

Or the team was suddenly swamped with orders to process because people had selected their options, got their CC texts/app sorted and then they all went through at once, probably took around 10 mins to wrestle with the order process...
 
What stage is everyone up to in their order? My order went through at about quarter past 10. So far I've confirmed my identity.
 
Cash order placed with email confirmation at 10:04. No delivery date email as yet but have had an email at 15:10 thanking me for my order and to say they will be in touch by phone in the next few days.

The first email confirmation is auto generated by the system, the one about the delivery is from an actual person.

Three emails so far, all auto generated. First was about the order, the second was the order confirmation and the third about being in touch by telephone. No idea whether that’s standard or not. Or whether I should be worried or not!

Just for clarity : if you click on the member's profile, there is an "ignore" button which will hide all posts from that specific member. It is reversible should you wish to grant a second chance. Hope this helps! ;)

Reyland kit is excellent value, there are however cheaper options available but all of the other kits I know of have some form of issue with reliability of parts supply. The Reyland AP kit is excellent, which lots of pad and disc choice available.

As for reliability with the Gen 1's, they are very good when they are looked after. I do around 10 trackdays a year in mine. Being one of the earlier cars, the only real issue I've suffered with is faulty coilpacks, this was resolved on the MY15 onwards cars. You just need to make sure your running good brake pads, uprated oil, oil cooler and baffled sump plate. All of which shall apply to the GR.

It’s an app you can download to your phone then you need to buy the dongle which goes into the obd port in the car. You can buy them off Amazon. Think you need a 1 month £9.99 fee to try settings out. Sometimes free for a month. On the app it lets you turn off a few things that the dealership would normally have to do. When I had the gr Yaris I turned off the fake sound and some other noise cancelling settings. Saves a trip to the dealership and they would never know you have plugged it in.
