Just had a quick call with my dealer in Stratford upon Avon where put down "reservation" fee. Confirmed a similar story as some of you earlier today.
1) £500 fee will be refunded but I need to come in person to pop the card into the machine.
2) I need to order online from Wed 10am, I'm more than welcome to come round to the dealership and they can assist me but pretty pointless as it will be quicker to do it yourself.
3) they were unclear what's required for that online application form as they don't use it but advised to have a scan of a driver's license handy just in case.
4) they were unclear about the finance checks, but if you passed the checks recently at the dealership probably wise to stick to the same parameters and you may have this step out of the way when Toyota finance check your details in their database - just an opinion rather than a confirmed info - but makes sense.
5) they were happy to help at any step of the process before and after if I decide to choose them as a delivery point.
6) part exchange - unclear situation atm - once the order reaches them this could open up some options to include it but they were not prepared to promise anything today given limited info and Toyota UK blowing hot and cold
Hope that helps, seems like we're starting to get some more consistent comms now, time to enjoy Easter and reflect back at colour choice while painting Easter eggs
