Event Sports Cars in the Park Castle Howard 4/9/22

If we don't get the 10? can we still all park together. No banners allowed so if we can be together that still sounds like our own area. We may need to meet together and drive in as a group. I don't know how it works if there are only a hand full of us.

never been there so not sure on how it will be...

Display ticket deadline is 1st September.
7 in our group so far, although that includes @Steveo who isn't attending. We had 20 attend in May.

Ideally need 10 for our own pitch.

Max number of display cars for the event is now 600, with 396 sold.

If you don’t get allocated a “club” area you will be allocated parking in the “Japan” area , if you arrive together then just park alongside each other , job sorted. 👍

Now 8 on the list, so 2 more and we'll have our own section. (y)

Last chance to buy display tickets so that you can join us.

As it’s looking unlikely at this stage that we’ll have our own space, are we arranging to meet somewhere beforehand so that (most of us) can arrive and therefore park together?

Also… I took a couple of sunstrips to the Motorist with me on Sunday, and quickly sold (and fitted) both of them, so I’ll take a few more of a couple of different designs on Sunday, should anyone want one fitting on the day.

That would make sense so we can still be a group. I have no idea of a suitable spot near so we have a relatively short drive in. Could be any spot.

If most ar coming down the A64 there's Huckleby's American Diner, just a couple of miles before the turn off for Castle Howard

Malton Road, York YO60 7SG

It's opposite the BP station and caravan sales place. Handy for those coming from the West, and not too far out of the way for anyone coming from the east.

Just need to agree on a time if the place suits all

That suites me just fine - Huckleby's American Diner
It's only to meet up and then drive in together to park together.

Website appears to be showing 9 of us now, so close!

From what I can see, we have 10+ so should have our own section. 👏

Obviously if anyone else wishes to join us, please do so before the display cars option is removed from the SCITP website tomorrow.

weather is looking a bit sh*t
Looking a bit better and last night Paul Hudson on Look North said Sunday could be a decent day 🤞

Good prediction Andy but what is the weather forecast for our particular patch of grass? :sneaky:

I always assume it is members of this site only but I suppose anyone with a GRY can book a ticket. Hope we do get our own plot otherwise I won't know where to send the strip-O-gram I have ordered.
