The majority of cars there on the day seem to have been well prepped. I was shaking down the 86.... All new mods and only had 1000miles behind the wheel when I arrived at Spa.Looking good! How did you get on Vs that megane? I used to have a 265 Trophy but never tracked it - it looks like it has suspension + wheels and tyres in that pic so i image it'll be pretty capable.
Did similar to my partners Mk7 Golf GTI’s tyres a few years ago at Spa. Didn’t go down well.I think we definitely pushed the bridgestone potenza races hard today!

Are you going to remove the stock HX when you fit the oil cooler? May free up a bit of pressure. Not sure how much you're aware of the pressure issues our folks mostly across the pond have seen, lots of info on gr86.orgFollowing on from the shakedown at Spa. Some new toys on express delivery from Japan...

Exhaust is for a bit of soul, stock is too quiet.
Cooler pure functional, after 4 laps I was hitting 125deg C.
I'm very aware of the pressure issues but I'm in the belief that it is due to badly designed sump/oil pick up. It seems that when the oil rolls into the timing chain area during the turn, the oil pick up runs out of oil to pump around. I'm over filling by 1litre at the moment. Are you going to remove the stock HX when you fit the oil cooler? May free up a bit of pressure. Sounds sensible, however keeping your pressures up via other means (by way of overfill like you're doing / keeping temps down) will all help of course. I'm with you on the car being for fun, you can make the car dance on 225's!I'm very aware of the pressure issues but I'm in the belief that it is due to badly designed sump/oil pick up. I will install the Oil Cooler keeping the factory HX and get see if I can get some datalogging of pressure. At the end of the day, my car is nowhere as modified as the cars on the other side of the pond and I doubt can generate the G's they can with their huge 265 width tyres etc. Seems like their default is to install anti-roll bars, coilovers and wide tyres.
If pressure was ever to be an issue for me, then I would first install an electric oil pump. With my build I went with 225/40 to keep the car still fun. I'm not chasing lap times more a grin factor and honing my driving skills.
