Albeit a new car (<12m old and with 38 miles on the clock), TOL would not sign me up to a service plan as I am the 2nd owner of the vehicle. They insisted that I try taking one out with my local dealership. Given that the Service Manager at Western Toyota Halbeath hasn't returned either of my calls, nor responded to any of my emails (after having been given his card to contact him) I have decided to use an independant Japanese car specialist garage instead. It might be 20 miles further away but at least they've replied to my enquiry! I'll probably do the extended Warranty service plan thing after year 3 but, until then I won't be bothering with the dealership.
