Forum Event Scottish Festival of Motoring 20/7/25

A small package dropped through my door yesterday. A bit of fun and something I had made up just for our Scottish Show 'Exhibitionists'. Yeah, not only a Tunnocks but a tin badge anaw! I bet yer fookin' excited now eh!? :LOL:

How many members are exhibiting there cars .
The list of Zoo Exhibitors at the SFOM (Edinburgh) currently stands at six, namely:
@Sonic (Blue GR86)
@Alistair31 (White GR86)
@AWB (Grey GR86)
@chopper602 (Blue GR86)
@911sse (Silver GR86)
@Geoff (White GR Supra)

Which, incidentally, means that I can still get away with buying just the one pack of Tunnocks Caramel Wafer Biscuits. Always a bonus to an adopted tight Fifer eh? Next in my 'show repertoire' I shall be learning how to peel an orange in my pocket ... ;)

For the guys above, here’s the latest email from the organisers:

I hope you are well and you and your members are looking forward to The Scottish Festival of Motoring in July.
I can confirm that your GR-Zoo club outside stand is fully paid up and you will be receiving your festival information and admission pack 14 days prior to the event for 6 members.
Should you require any further information just get in touch, otherwise we look forward to catching up with you in July

Hi is it too late to join in for the RHS event ?
Not at all! We can add cars up until the end of May.
Please send me a private message with the following details (required by the organisers) and I'll get your ticket(s) bought:

Drivers Name - Vehicle Model - Colour - Vehicle Reg

Admission price details for exhibitors are: Driver Ticket £10. Passenger Ticket (up to 3) £20. Child Ticket £10.

Routine: Once you've decided which tickets you need, send me the ticket cost by bank transfer (I'll send my details in a DM), I'll then buy the ticket(s) using your submitted details and will receive a confirmation email from the organiser that your vehicle has been added to our club stand.

All tickets/wristbands etc are sent to me around 2 weeks prior to the event. We're set to all meet up on the morning of the event at a retail park in Edinburgh, where I'll give out all the tickets and stuff before we head off to the showground as a group .... :)

With @Gr8 added to the list of exhibitors, we now stand at a Magnificent Seven! I think that'd make a good movie title maybe ??🤠

The marshmallow fields at the bottom of Tunnock Brae being harvested for 2025's batch of teacakes this morning. The marshamallows in Scotland take 11 months to grow to full size before being gathered once every year for production. Armed security is needed 24/7 all year round to stop any attempts from the Haggi Community getting their paws on any throughout the year.

There should be some wrapped ready for us . . .

Looks likely that I’ll be able to make it after all 👀 will know by the 26th - 27th 😉
That’s good news @Zobb. I’ll need to know asap because the exhibitor ticket window closes on 1st June, when all bookings and payments are to be in.
If it’s a goer for you, DM me with the necessary details (see earlier posts as to what I need) and I’ll get the application sent in directly.
