I thought I'd get this in early, so that we can start to gauge interest, get it pencilled into our 2025 calendars and hopefully avoid conflicting personal appointments.

The Scottish Festival of Motoring will be held at its usual venue of the Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston, Edinburgh, EH28 8NB on Sunday 20th July 2025 (updated).

Unfortunately, earlier this year we failed to generate enough interest and couldn't meet the minimum number of vehicles required to attend the 2024 show with a GR-Zoo club stand. Obviously it will be up to @GR-Admin whether this is declared as a Forum Event for 2025 or not, but being the biggest show of its type in Scotland it is a well known and very well attended event. Registration and ticket information will be published at the above website in due course.
Open to all GRs; Supra, GRY, GRMN and 86. Thoughts and notification of interest appreciated. 👋

Plenty of time to go and we're still looking for other types of GR too, not just 86!
C'mon, make a weekend of it. Plenty of places to stay, wild Haggis to be trapped and cooked over an open fire, deep fried Pizza, cheese and chips, square sausage in a roll - all sloshed down with the best Whisky in the world, or some ice cold Irn Bru for the teetotallers! ;)

Update: Since posting, the 'FOM' website has been wholly updated and the date of the show has moved a week to Sunday 20th July 2025. Hopefully the @GR-Admin or a moderator can update my original post to reflect this change and avoid confusion. We'll look to 'bump' this thread nearer the time and gauge interest. Keep an eye out for other Scottish Events next year! (y)

The SFOM now has information on clubs/groups and states that all clubs "require a minimum of 5 vehicles on their stand". So far we have x4 GR86 expressing an interest in attending (one short of the minimum required for a GR-Zoo stand). Early days yet, but it would be great if we could get a couple of other Zoo'ers to pencil this event into their diary 📝.

Update: The Scottish Festival of Motoring website has now opened its Registration for Clubs/Groups Bookings page. As previously mentioned, all Club stands require a minimum of 5 vehicles.

Admission price details for exhibitors are: Driver Ticket £10. Passenger Ticket (up to 3) £20. Child Ticket £10. No parking charge for exhibitors inside the show ground.
Admission price details for public are: Adult Ticket (Advance) £20. Adult Ticket (Gate) £24. Child Ticket £10. Parking will incur an additional charge which is determined by the Royal Highland Centre.

The date for this show is Sunday 20th July 2025.

All details are on the booking page and associated T&Cs. Basically, admin/organiser buys the required tickets to secure spaces and submits the form. Pitch size is number dependent, but they are all outside and spread around the show ground. We just need the initial numbers to qualify for a pitch.

C'mon folks, must be one more person in who'd like to come along to this event? You can even travel up from Englandshire too 😁
 
🎙️Thanks to everyone that has expressed an interest in exhibiting. Once I have the nod from @GR-Admin I shall book us a Club Pitch at the SFOM. Further details will be sent to each exhibitor via DM as they become available.

OK folks, we're good to go!

Could those drivers interested please DM me with the following details as required by the SFOM for being added to the exhibitor list for entry:
Drivers Name - Vehicle Model - Colour - Vehicle Reg

I'll also need to know the type and number of tickets that you require, such as 'Driver Only', 'Driver plus 1 Passenger', or 'Driver plus Child' etc,. so that I can buy them at the time of registration to secure our pitch. We can add to it later if required.

Here's a reminder of the Ticket prices:
£10 for a Driver.
£20 for a Passenger (up to 3 maximum).
£10 for a Child (age 11-16).

I shall respond to each DM with my Bank Details for laundering (cough) subsequent reimbursement ☺️

All exhibitor tickets to-date have been purchased and a GR-Zoo club stand has been confirmed for our small contingent at the Scottish Festival of Motoring, Edinburgh! 🥳

Email received today:
To confirm we have your club booking for GR-ZOO and have now reserved 5 spaces for your outside stand, looks like being a bumper year for clubs wanting to attend in 2025!!
If you require any additional spaces let us know before 1st June 2025, and we will do our best to accommodate you - space permitting!
