@Lanman can I just confirm that this is what you have purchased…? Thank you for doing the R+D for this, I’ll be taking the MTB to the Peak District in the summer so perfect. 👍

Looks good. I used CX 5 clamps but the Honda CHR appears to have a slightly Longer clamp foot . See post above ! I have had no problems with the CX 5 kit which has now been on and off several times with no marks on roof and no worries.

After reading through this topic I think these are the correct Thule references (for the ideal installation), can anyone confirm this?

The CX 5 clamps fit with no mods . The rubber feet are on the roof edge slope as the Carbon roof is not OK ! See photos of positions on earlier Posts . The whole Thule thing is exceptionally well made and clamps firmly .
I stress none are OEM approved ! Have not heard any problems from folk who have used them. Most GR punters seem half sane so good sense prevails!! If you want a truck buy
One !!

I have just found another potential option that could (maybe) be used for cars without rear doors. Has anyone else tried this?

Yaris is just so curvy that I don’t know how it fits, somebody has to try😄

Hmmm, yeah I’m probably not going to bother trying roof bars on mine!

Anyone else who can report some kind of denting as well?

Yes I did. Other bike was trek full carbon frame and other was a normal frame bike.

I think the problem is the claw part of the rubberpad. Because when it is on for a long time you have to tighten the rack (thule says between every 500km) so it put more pressure on the roof. I might try to smooth off the claw part of the rubber with a boxcutter knife or something so it is just flat and the pressure is more even.
