GR Yaris Replacement rearview mirror

The two part numbers are interesting BUT I'm running an AstraJ mirror basic manual dimmer version no electronics and my pre-collision system is working fine, no warning messages or codes. I assume those part numbers are for the bits installed in the roof?

Those part numbers are for the rear view mirror unit that plugs in the box in the room. I guess it means that in the GR Yaris the pre collision system is in the box mounted in the windscreen, while on older Yarises the function was potentially in the mirror.

I got a D100 mirror from ebay uk . It was from a Yaris 2018 VVT-I EXCEL. So that model of Yaris is one to keep an eye out for if looking for a D100.
I assumed it was a D80 or D100 when I brought it , as the Synetiq pics weren't great( mirror was pictured held but couldn't see cable or serial number).
I got lucky :)

So, is Yaris mirror part number 87810-0D100 "plug & play" to replace OEM GR mirror...?

I haven't go around to trying it myself yet... still in new car mode :-) and as being of a small stature not sure how much of an issue yet. Only had issue once when trying to check if traffic light had changed...

You're welcome!

cadillac 2pin red 12+ and 5pin black ground
toyota 1 pin ground and 4 pin 12+
Are only 2 wires connected and the Others Not used at all? Thanks

I tried yesterday to fit the D100 mirror but I failed to remove the big piece of plastic trim to get to the plug. Does it just need a good pull or are there some clips to undo? Thanks

Edit: solved. Figured out how tu pull it downwards towards the dash.

Installed the D080 today, very happy with improved visibility, even after mirror riser (not needed with D080).
Here is approximate comparison D080 vs STOCK (without riser).

Now let's test the tolerance of this forum for the mechanically challenged ;). How on earth do you get the plug off from the original mirror? Anything to press or unclip? In my defense tried to undo the thing in the dark...

Update: actually seeing what's going on does help ;). New / used mirror installed. Makes a nice difference. Autodim also works, at least pretty sure. The effect (on the original mirror as well) is pretty subtle when you are looking for it, but effective enough to work well. Will fully test soon.

To whoever first discovered the Astra J mirror and shared it here – thank you so much! For just 17 Euros, I have a much smaller, factory looking mirror. The install was very easy too. Here are some pics.

Colin Chapman would be proud too:

Simplified the mirror and added 220gr lightness (y)

What mirror is that?
It’s a Wolfbox 900pro.

I bought the dual cam version (forward and back) with the polarised lens, OEM mounting bracket and wiring kit so it records if someone bumps into my car whilst parked

Wired it into the fuse box B+ to OBDII and ACC to P/Outlet

So far so good

Thanks
Ok, so I will ask some dumb questions.
Why is it wired to the OBDll ?
What's the P/Outlet?

Right

So there is nothing stopping you from just plugging it into the power outlet in the dash. However I wanted the function that keeps/starts recording when someone bumps into my car whilst I’m parked

This creates an issue. There is no power without ignition being on. Therefore this won’t work

However, OBD Port receives power even when the ignition is off

So the mirror now knows when you’re driving (Power Outlet is on) and when you’re not (power outlet is off) but can still record when the car is off because it gets its power from OBD circuit

I could have also used the circuit that goes to the dome lights as it’s active without ignition too. You get the idea

The kit comes with these piggy back circuit breaker cables where you don’t need to splice anything. So when I say I P/Outlet I mean the Power outlet CB in the cabin. I’ve attached an image of the cable
