I've not seen a genuine over 30mpg yet. Although it is creeping quicker to it on longer runs. Short runs and round town really hurt it but so did the vRS. Going to run it to fuel light to see what I get to a tank. So far I'm expecting about 250-260miles.
Round town it deffo drops, digital readout should 27 for me round town but big jump on longer runs.

Hoping, once run in I may be able to push it to 40mpg.

First tank was 24 MPG over 211 miles, I suspect the dealer fuelled up with regular petrol there though.

Second tank was 27 MPG over 150 miles on Tesco Momentum 99.

Currently on the third tank of Tesco 99 and saw above 32 MPG on my 160 miles trip around Suffolk yesterday.

Has it definitely got a fuel light? I ran mine down to 1 bar on gauge and range was showing 19 miles remaining and I didn't notice one, maybe just oblivious though! Filled up and car only took 40L till pump clicked so presumably 10ish litres left in tank. Seems like the range/readout is very conservative.

For the record my readout is showing just over 30mpg over approx. 900 miles.

Curious about this also.....

The low fuel light came on with about 16 miles remaining on mine.

👍 Good to know cheers. I just wasn't trying hard enough! Last few cars fuel light has come on with 50+plus miles.

Only thing that I don't like so far is the small tank.

My old diesel BMW the light used to come on anywhere between 50 and 70 miles.

I was at about 29 mpg after running in, and that dropped to about 21 on the 1st run without rev limiter. The GT86 never had a miles-to-empty readout, so that is a novelty but I was shocked to see it say 220 miles after a fill-up and assumed it was not calibrated properly.

Tested driving aids of my auto today 88miles mostly motorway 43mpg.
Cruise control set to speed limits.
On the way back I took the twisty-hilly route and the screen said 39mpg. Not too bad as gt86 would have done something like 45mpg at best on the same route.

Picked car up today with a quarter of a tank of whatever the dealer put in. Brimmed it with momentum and dash said a range of around 220 miles.

Covered about 190 miles of combined motorway and a/b roads and range still says 100ish miles left.

Don’t think I’m going to be putting much faith in the range number going forward…

I'm back on Fuelly so adding the entries as I fill up. For me the mpg the car says to what Fuelly says is almost the same. I've not done many motorway journeys yet so last tank with just commuting and using some more revs I got 26.5mpg to a tank which was potentially 260 miles to a tank

My fuel light came on on the day of purchase after I drove only 30 miles or so - clearly the dealer had only put in around £10 of fuel.

I brimmed it with only 41 litres so which is 9 litres short of the 50 litre capacity.

Okay, to give a bit of an idea of my mpg on my Dorset to Northampton to Dorset journey today...

150 miles northbound, a354 a30 a343 a303 a34 m40 a43 at mainly 55mph on 60 limits and 65mph on 70 limits = 40.3mpg.

150 miles southbound, a43 b430 a34 a30 a354 at mainly 60mph on 60 limits and 70mph on 70 limits = 35.3mpg.

That's amazing. Now I haven't brimmed to brimmed it yet to check on the accuracy of the trip computer (I will), but how inaccurate can it be?
