I find it impossible to consider going for this car without the LSD. It's possibly the one thing that I couldn't live without (and that includes the MT as I expressed previously). I think the LSD is a must have, although I can't comment on going aftermarket is the better option or not
For some reason most people don’t know there’s actually a rear LSD factory option on the RC that could be spec’d when ordered. See the Japanese GRY online configurator. It’s a mechanical LSD, not the typical Torsen. That means it uses clutches instead of gears, so it reacts faster and locks more aggressively when traction breaks (similar to GRMN’s mechanical diff). It’s basically more track focused; sharper, more predictable, and less lazy mid-corner. The downside is it’s not as civil on the street, but if you’re chasing that pure, connected feel, the mechanical setup hits harder than the Torsen ever could.
